Are really starting to piss me off. Always having the little girl, usually 4-6 years old and they sing some childish song. And it's somehow supposed to be scary. It is way overused, and wasn't even good to start out with.

Trust me, there's many more features to films that are highly overused beyond the realm of unoriginal.

Just like the film critic said in "Lady in the Water": "There is no originality left in this world. That's a sad fact that I've come to live with."

That honestly gets annoying, but the real thing that makes horror movies these days suck are the jumpy moments. The parts in a movie that really scare you are something that you see that you kind of say, "Oh" when you see it, but after a while you think about it and it gives you the creeps. Like that part on Jeepers Creepers 2 when that dude had his eyes gauged out and he was talking about when he comes to eat. But no, now in horror movies, it's horror if at some part a zombie jumps out of a closet and you scream but watch the movie again and it's gay.

Anyone who goes to horror films to be scared is a retard. I watch them because they are pretty hilarious. The grudge? So funny! A girl that sounds like a frog crawling down the stairs? That's like a SNL skit!

now with all these computer graphics it kinda is ruining the whole thing. horror films are ment to be organic, not electronic.

also the stories now days are getting redundant.

Haha! There's more to it than that.

Most of the best films ever made were made in the 1970s and 80s. In the 90s, it became all about the effects. In our new millineum, it's now all about the shock factor -- sad thing is, I swear the people in the film industry are just hack with connections.

Most horror movies today are all relying on the blood and gore, back in the 70's they were actually scary cuz of the story and the suspense

The main thing that makes horror movies today bad is that all they do is shock you.

They've lost that ability to gather tension in that moment where you know something will happen, but not exactly when.

That is what makes a movie scary.

I've always found that the show "Masters of Horror" had some pretty good mini movies on it. They really don't count as movies, but they're just as well done.

God, I swear I haven't seen any scary movies that have come out as recent as 2004. It was refreshing to see Saw, but then it came down to being the new "it" and Hollywood just basically fucked it over and over again. I'm still waiting for something that's new and interesets me.

One of my friends is apparently creeped out by the little kids singing. I've never seen a horror movie, unless Final Destination or Scream 3 are considered horror movies. I don't think they are. I hear that The Ring is pretty scary, but the only thing I know about it is that there are aliens who can't open doors and some sort of ring is involved. I also get the impression that there's a lot of fog in a part of the movie. I plan to watch that with a friend some time in case it really is scary.

I had a dream where I was watching a horror movie though yesterday. I'm not sure whether I was actually watching a horror movie, but I knew that whatever was happening wasn't happening to me. I think Hugh Laurie was there, or someone who reminded me of him.

I think everyone was trapped in the subway or something. There was something related to the subway. All I remember clearly is that there was a part where a bunch of red things that flew down from the sky and looked like spiky balls. They looked like those pictures of viruses that look that way. They tore into one guy's chest and they were inside it and you could see the guy's insides. He was yelling "My tonsils are burning!" And then another guy said, "... but, you have no tonsils!" Because those red things ate the tonsils or something. I think that might have been the fourth guy to die, but on the other hand, I can't confirm that anybody died at all. I think the movie in my dream which doesn't actually exist was based on Final Destination.

If something doesn't make sense, it's because it was a dream. The fact that the guy who plays House was in my dream makes it awesome. I wanna watch House. I must buy the DVD. Until then, all I can do is read the transcript for episodes on the internet. I can visualize it well enough in my head to get everything to work out.

Man, people saying that little girls aren't scary is way overused, and it was never good in the first place.

I heard Hostel was just disgusting and not scary.

I like the Saw movies but I wasn't really scared. I maybe went, "ew, that's gross."

The same goes with the new slasher crap like the Texas Chainsaw remake, or the Hills have eyes. It just repulses you slightly, but doesn't scare you at all.

Silent Hill was slightly disturbing, but again not frightening.
