4.09 / 5.00 15,161 ViewsWell I saw a text-based zombie game today and liked the idea of the game, but really didn't enjoy the 'text' part and having to go through many refreshed pages and such.
So I decided to put together a small 'zombie' game for my own entertainment.
This isn't anywhere close to even being considered done, but hey...it's a first right?
The game is at:

Movements:
ASDW - Moving
Mouse - Aim / Firing
your the blue dude and the green dudes are the "Zombies"
there's some extra ammo at the top
again, this is just a test game, just to see if I should even think about continuing it
so any comments/suggestions/questions/etc... then please feel free to just reply back :)
Here is some of my suggestions:
- Improve the graphics alot
- Movement needs to be faster
- Some plot perhaps?
- Main character needs a healthbar instead of you get hit by an enemy you die crap
That's all I can think of at the moment.
its a cool start, the character moves a little slow as do the bullets i thought, did you want to make this into a sort of defence game or a game with differnt rooms with puzzles to solve? obviously you would make the graphics more detailed for the final version.. add in replay buttons/menus and should be sweet,
Yeah, like I said, it's just a start, so obviously I'll update the graphics (Knowing that I'm not the ultimate when it comes to graphics + flash, they probably won't the the "l33t").
But I'll speed up the character and bullets both.
Also, I was probably going to make it into a multi-room game and stuff.
Although I did think about making it into a multiplayer game, where you must register and choose to be a zombie or civilian and play the game throughout that way. I've made games before like that, so I might instead, turn towards that direction when making the game.
But thanks for the feedback :)
are you going to be in a building that's like, tiled out? kinda like you're in a mansion? that would actually be really cool. a top down resident evil thing for flash.
Yeah that what I was kind of hoping to make it like (Not a perfect remake of Resident Evil) but the basic concept. Either you can choose to be the 'Zombie hunter' or a be the living dead and feast on wondering people. Both with different story lines.

i think i want a piece of this action.
current status - PMing you
Nice game, you could improve the graphics....alot
Found a glitch... If you die right click, then click play, you fire two bullets, because you never deleted the old guy's MC. Nice game though, needs improvement in plot, and graphics. Anyways, that is expected in a "test" game anyways. Nice, and keep workin'!

Ah yeah, forgot that (Seriously need some caffeine or something). Thanks for pointing that out : )
I would eliminate the bouncing when collision detection is taking place. You can generally do that by adjusting the number you're reversing the velocity apon impact until you get it right.
Also, Once zombies are dead... if you touch them, they can still kill you. I know its still in the beginning stages, but thought that should be one of the first things fixed up to get it working.
Otherwise, I think this is a great start.
Perpetually looking for time to return to the arts.
i am now working on this game with bigftballjock. i'm doing graphics and helping with storyline. if you have any detailed suggestions dealing with either of those, please contact me or post them here

heh he does too!
Well, first thing you should do is at least make everything look a little more detailed. Second put a health bar so you won't just suddenly die when they come to you. Third make the guy move faster, he was so slow... And last, have a replay button or restart, I wanted to try again since I didnt know I could actually move, and I ended up clicking refresh...
