A detailed tutorial on how to make a platformer/game would be nice for the new people to Newgrounds. Perhaps even a section on how to put up a website using Dreamweaver MX 2004?

im confused....why would we want "new" people making platformers? a massive flood of "why does my character fall through the ground?" threads will come up everywhere.

Sorry, that was my bad grammar. I meant to say that a detailed tutorial on a platformer (made by people who know how to use flash) would be great for people who are starting to learn flash.
There is just something I dont understand for the Arty section, does it also include animation or thats just how to draw cartoony, backrounds, etc...

Last time I did bodies for the arty section, and yeah it was only ''flat'' pictures.

Oh, that's pretty weird there should be an animation section, at least a small one. Something simple, and helpfull. Something just like, moving around, jumping, sitting... I think that would be a good idea since this is the new collab.
Thanks everyone so far, keep the ideas coming :).
I still would really like some people whod be willing to do some music for the Extras Section, and the Whole Collab. If you're interested, PM me :D.
Could I do a backgrounds tutorial? I'm quite proud of my backgrounds xD
Never forget...
advanced physics (gravity, water simulation - but dont do copy and paste codes (a lot))
uploading files
doing little but cool effects, like a mc that bounces around your cursor
AS animation tecniques
how to make it so you can draw lines
colour selector
2d arrays
advanced trigonometry
3d in flash
Volume setter
Finding out info about the users pc - (this is fairly easy)
How to print in flash
How to work out where a ball would bounce when it hits slanted objects when using gravity

Can I do one too? I bet our styles are different :o

Of course, the more the merrier :P. Art is different to AS, with AS tutorials, there is one way that you can do it, give or take a few lines. With Art, you can have unlimited tutorials on unlimited styles of art.
Anyway, keep the ideas flowing. Thanks again everyone, ive got loads of ideas now :D. Ill give everyones who's idea i use a mention in the credits :).
I would say to have a quiz at the end of every section (beginners, intermediate, advanced) to actually quiz you to see if you know that stuff.
Plus, I would have MUCH better tutorials in the Arty section. (better tweening tutorials, and have a fbf tutorial).
And also, you should add in an adobe illustrator section.
Finally, you should get rid of a lot of soundtracks, or at least load them from a seperate URL (loadSound?) so you can get rid of that huge file size.
That's all I have to say, your tutorial collab '06 was really good!
Along with Audacity, shouldn't there be a Goldwave tutorial too?
:U

Goldwave is noobish. >_< honestly.

Yeah, but we need to help the noobs who use it.
:U

It is a pretty basic program, but more never hurts :P.
Oh, Can I do background tutorial, I got 100x better!!
When the time comes ill make a tutorial (inside the tutorial) for extreme basics and like a walkthrough step by step process of how flash works, and animating basics.

I thought I covered that before, but I could make a simpler code and cover it even more in depth.

Are you thinking what I think you are thinking?
You mean a tutorial on the interface of Flash?
Would someone please specify the specifications of the .fla? For example, frame rate, dimensions, etc.
Ta :D
Never forget...
Moose....this is the suggestion thread. The actual collab hasn't started yet.
a tutorial on attaching things to MCs, like sounds, etc.

I assumed that it'd follow the same principles as the last one :\
That's embarassing...

Im looking for things that were not in the Original Collab :P.
How about a tutorial on using audacity.
Reason? Heaps of people on newgrounds want to know how to import midi music or edit mp3s and stuff. So why not make one on that for sound and music?
Good idea, i'm thinking of getting audacity, but i don't know how it works, and there's no tutorials for it currently.

You only have to press one button, what is there to think about?
but i don't know how it works, and there's no tutorials for it currently.
That's because the people who have the sense to use Audacity can find Help Contents.
