The one in the bottom right corner looks like it would be a pain in the ass to use, but then again they are just prototypes. I gotta say, I love your sig man.
The bottom right one should have been released with the Wiimote. It would make fighting games feel more comfortable.

Maybe games for toddlers which only require one button?

There are 3 more buttons on that thing, btw.

wii frisbee
Starpad eh? Maybe they envisioned it as a tool to help you in your everyday life. If you're ever getting swarmed by turtles you can press it to become invincible and hear a speedy little tune. While you're flashing you can run into as many turtles as you want for an instant kill. Hit seven in a row and get an extra life!
Happy with what you have to be happy with
you have to be happy with what you have
to be happy with you have to be happy with what you have
My theory is the "star pad" is for Mario Galaxy since there are only a few buttons and the star is from Mario games. The star is probably a big ass jump button.
XBOX LIVE /// KevRS
Maybe the star is used to be stepped on. If your using the wiimote, maybe you need to do something on the ground.

Oh. I thought they were lights.
Seems kind of disproportioned.

They look like bolts to me.
So are these just new ideas for more things to throw at your TV?
You know, that star would make a stylish hole in your plasma TV...

Define "prototype".
Imagine having 18+ games with "special" controllers.
So zetta slow!
They dont look too bad (excluding the starpad) but I think everyone will just stick with the original controller.

Well, Nintendo did announce Virtual-Reality helmets for the Wii at one point.
I am not a poet, and I do not intend to be.
I just wanted to post so you do not forget me.
Why the hell are we looking a prototypes when the final product has already been released?
That one in the upper right does look pretty nifty though. I think you flip the left and right sections of it to access even more buttons on the other side.
:)

Nice.

Those black ones look pretty nice. Like little MP3 players.
Surely the controller on the left is an iPod shuffle with a D-Pad.

No, they didn't.

It's nice to look at how we "would have" been playing with the Wii.
Cool. I like the one on the top right most. too bad they chose the bottom left one for the final product anyways. WTF? A big huge startpad! lolololol. I would so get that just to make fun of it, then sell it for twice the price :D muahahhhahaha (no one would really buy it tho, nless they gots-a wii. altho they dont have a starpad anyways.... well yeah.... you know im awesome... yea.... yea... yea..yteayeayeayeayeayea......)
And I thought the real Wiimote was crazy!
