Best book youve ever read? 2006-12-20 08:02:22 Reply

just wondering what is the best book/series of books that youve ever read
mine would have to be the Tomorrow Series written by john marsden

its about a bunch of teenagers who go on a caming trip and when they return, they discover that their romote farming town is under lockdown by another country (you never find out who)
then they do their best to survive off the land while a war is on progess in Australia.
it also has sex scenes in it : )

now tell me yours >:O

I am sure you have tens of certificates hanging in your room, stating things like "Award for the most ignorant person in town", and "Biggest idiot of the school".

It's required reading material for most High School classes. The fact that you've never heard of the book or that they haven't made you read it yet worries me.

Yeah...that's because he is 16.

A 16 year old has better grammar skills then the sapposed "19 year old" I am speaking too. You are many levels of dumb that can't even be measured at this moment.

The only way I can see you in college is if you are cleaning the floors.

Anthem by Ayn Rand. The Ender and Bean series by Orson Scott Card were very good too.

Meh, it's really hard to say..

His Dark Materials made a big impact on me
Inheritence is definitely a cool story
Harry Potter has always been a fav

I think one of my definite favourites is "Magician"

Quite a few to choose from actually, but I haven't read or re-read many books for a while now. I only tend to read famous or popular books, or if they are presents.

I know how to spell.

"OH LAWD HE MISSPELLED 1 ONE WORD! BRING OUT DA GUNZ! DA GRAMMA SHARIFF ID IN TOWN!"

Don't try to teach me proper diction when you don't even use the effort for punctuation and capitalization. It's an error, a mistake that happens every once and while. This is opposed to the butchering of the English language that this "19 year old" is doing.

I've got lots of favourite books. It's too hard to choose, so I'll just say The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time.

Mutiny on the Bounty was a pretty good read for me. It was kind of tricky due to the fact that it was written in Old English. Instead of "color", it'd be "colour". You would think that it wasn't that tricky, but when I read it back in fifth grade, it was sort of a hassle.

Hard to decide, considering there are so many good books out there, but I would consider 'Misery' by Stephen King the best.

Probably Phillip Pullman's 'Dark Materials'. I read it when I was about thirteen and the ideas about the church and otehr worlds got me hooked.

I also like alot of the star wars novels too.
