That's completely wrong, while you are right that Africans have not invented many things, it is absurd to say that they could not cultivate crops (rice), weave cloth, speak a complex language, actively utilized goats (domesticated,)and posses all the other characteristics of a sophisticated society.

Hmm, European nations brought civilization to India and a thriving economy there. They did NOT colonize every 'fucking single country in africa'. Actually they only colonized some of the port towns. Not that many at that. The natural resources wern't being utilized and wouldn't be TODAY even so. Besides, the mining and collecting of Africa's natural resources brought jobs and still do today.

The West CANNOT help Africa become a developed country. Thats like what we're trying to do in Iraq, except the African nations need to do it themselves.

The worst thing we are doing to Africa is our charity. By sending money and loads and loads of grain over we actually SLOW their progress by having them depend on us. Multinational corporations are well within their right to outsource. Thats what makes you able to buy your nike's so cheap and it does provide jobs, however low paying (which doesn't matter because the standard of living is so low) to the people. Would they be working otherwise?
