I didnt care if someone was going to take my old name and I dont care now because if they do I will use this thing called an imagination and make a new one. We should have the right to change our user names. I dont change mine very often but I want the knowledge that if I suddenly hate my user name and want to change it.

i think this is a great idea.
i know occaisonally someone will mess up their name or something and want to change it. these things happen. but most of the name changing i see is people making hate-flashes about other authors or trying to impersonate other authors. so good-riddance.
i think we also need some limitations on alts. someone with a bunch of alts doesnt really have anything to fear from being banned and not as much to fear from deletion. ive seen alot of abusive users get banned and be back that same day being abusive on an alt account. plus alts might let you get around the "2 flash a day only" limitation. and can a user use an alt account to vote on another of their accounts submissions? and if their friends have a bunch of alts, whats to stop them from using all their alts to vote up their friends movies? this would explain how alot of stuff gets through the portal. the alts need to be limited or not to be allowed.
ive only got one account and ive never changed my name. i think thats the fair way to review and vote.
