Nobody will want a democratica republic; it's not war-torn Germany and Nuke-bombed Japan facing threat of communism.
The leaders of three main nations (if they exist) will be too ambitious, and if US will give Go sign to parliamentary system, the country will just fall apart (by the way, under Saddam Iraq was formally presidential republic with temporal power :)

And now you can see how Turkey is afraid of Kurdish separatism, that it's even occupied some part of the northern Iraq.

Iraq will be divided into three parts:

but the US doesnt have even money to rebuild an entire nation from the ground up... hell we dont have enough for our country...

I keep on finding parallels to the Iraqi cultural and religious setup to Austria and the Balkan regions. The Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds should have their own sovereignty. This plan would be beneficial in two ways. First, the groups would become manageable by the UN, secondly, it destroys Iraq's oil power base creating competitive prices for the former #2 exporter of oil in the world.

the kurds will never have their own country... cuz turkey and iran and syria would be more than happy to destroy any Kurdistan made... cuz they kill them just like saddam did... AH i love the world...

of course, similar to India/Pakistan, some groups just won't move off their desert farms

which is exactly what we want... cant have too many hot-spots in the world now can we...

I know this isn't the "PC Pictures Post" topic, but in that picture, you should change the sign that says "Foot and Mouth Disease" to "Foot in Mouth Disease".

Oh, and Slizor--maybe the US media was reluctant to show the other side of the coin, but hundreds of overjoyed Iraqis dancing in the streets, toppling statues (with a little bit of US help), and looting government offices is hard to argue with. Perhaps that's why the Arab media showed it too.

The war isn't quite over yet, but when Saddam has been weakened to the point that the Iraqi people can do those things without fear of repurcussion, you know things are going pretty well. We still aren't sure what happened to Saddam, but if he made it out of Baghdad alive, he's probably in Tikrit. And that's the city that our troops are attacking now. The citizens of Baghdad, as well as many other people throughout Iraq, are very much enjoying freedom, but those who say it's not over are right. I personally will not be satisfied until I know that Saddam is dead.

When you only look for the negative, it is no suprise that everything you view is so.

I'm not negative, I'm just not bloody stupid. Source analysis is an easy thing.

They started it by themselves but they didn't happen to have a tank handy to pull the statue down so we offered a helping hand. If you actually watched the news instead of just bitched about how biased it is you would have seen them trying to pull the damn thing down with nothing but their bare hands for several hours.

If you read what I wrote I said that people are generalising about all Iraqis from the few pictures which are floating about.

And the USSR wasn't Communist. Oh and as for the "cute" person, I would like to see support provided for the first claim so I can disprove it. Do you understand why?

I disagree with that. Most people living in arab nations like the idea of democracy.

The leaders of three main nations (if they exist) will be too ambitious, and if US will give Go sign to parliamentary system, the country will just fall apart

That's ridiculous. The country will fall apart if you don't give each group some sort of sovreignity.

And now you can see how Turkey is afraid of Kurdish separatism, that it's even occupied some part of the northern Iraq.

As well the should be scared. Turkey treats its Kurds terribly.

I saw some Iraqis "liberating" some desks and stereos from a store they broke into. Yes, we're beginning to turn Baghdad into South Central *gasp* No, they changed it! "Southern Los Angeles".
