The only types of free flash animation programs suck, so if I were you, I'd just save up for the real flash. :/

please for the sake of hell dont get a free flash program. they suck more ass then a vegas whore.

just save up some cash. you can get a student version of flash 8 pro for as little as 200 bucks or less on ebay, and 250 straight from adobe. its the same as the 700 dollar version, except slight restrictions on making money with it. that sounds like your best bet right now.

Buying Flash wouldn't be such a bad thing if it wasn't for the fact that they charge so much for every new version... The last one I got was MX, and I couldn't really afford to get 8. I'm pretty sure the prices skyrocketted since Adobe took over Macromedia. I heard Apple or somebody bought those products now, though... so hopefully that will make the prices come down to something reasonable and I can finally buy the next version.

They charge so much just because large corporations will shell out the cash. Especially now with more and more websites being made in Flash. I think if they charge that much for it, you should be able to get free upgrades on every version. Otherwise, the thing should be no more than $40 for each program (and a $100 deal on the 3-program suite) if you're going to make people pay full price for each version that is released.

I started out with Flash (as well as Dreamweaver and Fireworks) 4, then went to 5, and now MX, but I don't seem myself upgrading anytime soon. It's not like I'm making any money off of anything I make with them, after all... I just use them for fun. Well... except for Dreamweaver... I technically use that occasionally at work, but I don't actually get paid a seperate web design fee for anything I do, so that doesn't really count.

Free programs are actually okay if your skilled. Because all you need to do is draw in each frame.

Why don't yous just get a cracked version? They aren't that hard to get if ya know where to look or have friends that know and they work fine.

Oh, and yous can always just keep on getting a trail version every month if ya know the trick.
