I was just wondering what's the most people have ever spent on an instrument or music equipment. For me it would have to be the $600 I laid down on Mesa Boogie DC-5 Amp Combo.

I got a line 6 amp for £550 and a BC Rich warlock the week before for £230

I think in dollars that's like $800 and $350 roughly. So in 2 weeks that's like $1150.00 in 2 weeks
(a rough guess at converting pounds to dollars).

Yep, i lived in norway for two and a half year, and i bought more or less all my audio gear at Filter Musikk in Oslo, so I had an awsome deal for the HDX... store price in norway would be around 17000, and i got it for 13k :)

I got my drumset off the side of the road for $300. It was an awesome deal! Before then, I had been using this piece of shit junior set that had all kinds of holes in it from aggressive playing.

Ive spent some sick amount on gear over the years. I think if i added up the totals my instruments have cost me i might have a heart attack :P Its a pity that decent instruments are so expensive, but at least you generally get what you pay for. As for the most ive spent, its either my Taylor 614ce or the Fender 1960 CS Relic. They're both fantastic guitars though, well worth the investment.

£450 on a Mini Mac. Yay Macs! And it's so small too! It's just about the dimensions of a 2 inch-high CD case.

Uh-oh, I smell a de-railment...

The new mac-intel hybrids are amazing (my brother has one). You get the best of both worlds: use OSX for music and graphics work, and use Boot Camp to load up XP when a game's-a-callin' for you.
