Note: the chart refers to convention weapons, not biological or chemical. Britian, United States and France takes the honours there as the major suppliers of technology and precursors.

Good find, Commander. Though we like to not mention that on any of the major news channels or put it in the newspapers. Slate Magazine had something about it, but it was a tiny, bottom of the page snippet.

We supply the world with technology (warfare & otherwise)... We've been doing that for quite some time.
So?
It wouldn't be fun picking fights with those who have 18th century technology. I mean... look how long the real battles in Afghanistan lasted. We need a challenge (that we can defeat, or course). We need someone who relys on old Soviet weapons...

Why not make a major offensive against Ethiopia? They're already nearly dead anyway.

So what if you have concrete "facts," the anti-war protestors have inane opinions, and all the fancy charts in the world can't sway THAT!

Supplying Iraq with technology and materials to create chemical and biological weapons? I thought the United States looks down at that. In fact I thought that was one of the "offical" reasons for this war.
So?
That means the US critisism towards Iraq for possesing WMB is hypocritical, because it was the US itself that sold it to them in the first place, and allowed them to get away with using the weapons.

Selling Weapons + Iraq = Revenue

United States:
At the time, we had a common enemy, the USSR and communism. A common enemy makes strange partnerships such as the USSR and the other Allies in WWII. Immediately after the war, the US and UK faced the USSR in the Cold War, but they were not hypocrites for arming and supplying the USSR just a few years earlier because they were allies then. This is the same situation. Saddam used to be our friend, just like Stalin was. Just like Stalin, he turned against us when we no longer had common interests.

This all reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons,
Lisa?: What will we do about the lizards
Skinner?: We will send in the lizard eating snakes
Lisa: but what will we do with the snakes
Skinner: WE will send in the gorrillas
Lisa: but what will we do with the gorrilas
Skinner: the cold winter will finish them off
Lisa: *scoffs*

You mean the Reagan administration. NOT THE US. Ol' Ronald sold all those weapons, and stuff to Iraq without making the deals public, and as far as I remember, Dubya is not Ronald. Therefore, all of the mistakes made are in the past, and saying that Bush is hypocritical is bullshit, because the Texan DID NOT FUCKING SELL WEAPONS TO IRAQ.

that chart applies to convientional weapons and as selling WMD's is illegal, its not going to be published on the internet is it?
nobody cares about conventional weapons, its the WMD they want to find, but the americans are hardly going to admit to that are they? and why not? let them liberate the country they enslaved.
