Oh course it is ok. What are we gonna do? Call him out a duel. Ohh yea they can battle pokemon cards and the loser dies. Yea, got to make this fair. And they have ordered a special OPS sniper mission long before the war.

They've had hundreds, maybe thousands of special ops undercover in Baghdad since October. That's why I seriously doubt the authenticity of that tape showing him walking through the crowd. If he shows his face, he's gonna get a bullet through it.

In wartime, any enemy combatant can be killed. Because Saddam controls the military, he is considered a target.
If we weren't at war though, it would be against the rules of engagement.

Well you'd have to find him, first, assuming he is still alive.
Haven't coalition assassins already taken out a bunch of highly ranked Iraqi officials?

We may never know.
As for the doubles, we'll shoot anyway. If they get killed, well, that's what you get for standing in for a dictator that is about to be toppled. Not exactly a smart thing to do.

At this point...I think it's okay...I'm applying a consequentialist argument of course, I think it would be better to just shoot him in the head at the dinner table than to just keep pushing towards him slowly, call him out, make him surrender, and then cart him off to jail, and lose more lives on both sides of the conflict. May be flawed or faulty logic sure but...that is what I think right now, I don't quite agree with the war, but I can't be ignorant to what a horrible human being Saddam Hussein is.
