My Grandfather turned 18 the day of the Pearl Harbor attack. He joined the airforce a few weeks later.

Then he froze his ass off in the Aleutians for three years.

Now THATS a war, nothing gained on either side, heavy casualties on both, and it was a feint in the first place.
