Afterlife

This question realy bugs me i dont get it. If there is no God what will happen whan we die? Can you imagine the world witout anythin but...... dark. I dont get the Ateist's how can they sleep at night knowing that it will ALL be over whan they die...?

It is like a sleepless dream, you feel nothing, see nothing, hear nothing, you are not thinking about anything. Easy to accept, you wont be feeling any pain and nothing will happen.

I think it's bad to believe in an afterlife because it gives you an excuse to be lazy in life. If you know that when ou die, you die, no going back, no afterlife, then you're gonna make this life worth every damn second.

Just think your life will go on any way. Don't think about it and let everybody make jokes of your death at your funeral. Your dead, so what? Do something BIG just before you die, and everybody will keep thinking about you. My last moments are going to be great!!

Je meybe your right ppl. But idea of being nothin forever is just strange and scary. Maybe God was invented by ppl who wore afraid of death or ppl who wore 2 lazy to anything in their lives so they invented afterlife. But only the idea of being dead forever gives me creeps...

I think it's just like it was before you're born. Before you're born it's not just "all dark", it's just nothing. There is no sole, it's just a load of chemica lreactions in your head, when you die the chemical reactions stop and so does your conciousness. When you die it won't be as if you're all alone in a dark room, there will be no memories, no thoughts, nothing.

This idea used to scare me, but whats there to be scared of? I won't know i'm dead, i will not exist any more. It's a shame because i like my life, but i wouldn't exactly be missing life.

The thing with afterlife is that we don't really know if it's going to bee good, or bad, will it bring us happiness and relief or eternal darkness and oblivion.
If we only knew where we were [B] before [/b] we came into this life, we would have a key to knowing where are we going to go when we pass out.
It's really a very complicated phylosophical dilemma, you are not the first one asking yourself about it.
In fact, some people say that after our death we shall get what we thing we would get. If, for example, an atheist thinks it will be eternal nothing for him, he will receive what he expected. And religious people (possibly) will be granted an eternal life in heaven. Or hell. Or whatever.
It's hard to explain.

I mean, if I had to live somewhere FOREVER, than I would rather live in the clouds than be in thoughtless sleep.
