That hairstyle makes you look like a very masculine woman.

Yup, same page. I hate this page.

Yeah, it sucks enough that if it weren't me, I'd be laughing to.

My friend had dreads for a while. He got them by combing his hair the opposite direction (up the hair instead of down) in sections.
But the thing is; dreads usually look awful on white people.
they hurt.....mine took 10+hours and by the end i couldn't lay my head down, ive had them for just over 2 months now and they're awsome. you really have to maintain them though.
knottyboy is a good site for them and their wax is awsome
Pulling off the Ill Nino look a bit aren't cha?

so theres no way to have them done at a barber shop? i don't really want to do them myself, I know I'll screw up.
and damn they put a lot of spray on em. sometimes i chew on my hair, but i think i just poisoned myself.

Unless the barber is Jamaican or knows the technique, no.

No, you should never get them done in a barber shop. they just want your money. you need to know somone who has had them or do them yourself(hard). all you really need is a lice comb (fine metal teeth comb) and some dread wax (knottyboy dread wax is best) and maybe a friend to help with the back. just follow the instructions at the knottyboy site and you'll do fine.

Zach D actually had dreads (although he doesn't now). All you need to do to get dreads is go a long fucking time without doing shit to your hair, and it typically will form into dreads its self (that, or some sort of wax, depending on what type of hair you have I think).
All you did was sit your head in someone's crotch for about 2 hours and have someone twist 3 clumps of hair around.

exactly.
man, i'm even wearing a shirt with a picture of bob marley with his kickass dreads.
The wax is just a way to get quick dreads. If you want, your hair would most likely form into dreads if you kept them in those braids for some months with minimal contact with water, shampoo, etc. You'll smell like dog ass, but it should work.
