like i said in my previous posts, less than jake skims the surface of ska. if you check out The Specials, Prince Buster, Judge Dread, The Selector, The Body Snachers, and Aurther Kay and the Originators, you'll see that less than jake is far from ska.

Individualism is the BASIS of Punk rock, without idividuality, punk would be no better than rap. and dont you find it a little bit hypocritical to say your against DIY, yet you also hate Hot Topic..the epitome of comercialism bullshit and the exact OPPOSITE of DIY. and if you label yourself a punk rocker, that makes you punk, as long as you know what your talking about and you've got your shit together.
for example, if your favorite band was NOFX and other epitaph bands, but you called your self a punk rocker, you would clearly be in the wrong. if you limit yourself to epitaph bands (which is a subsidary of SONY) your selling your self short, and are clearly not a punk. i agree witht the fact that DRESSING punk does not neccisarly make you punk, but you have to admit that a kid that has the balls to dress so outrageous most likely has an idea of what is going on, and what bands are punk and what bands are bullshit. as for the comunal living thing, to each his own, but like i said its contradictory to throw out idividualism. that would equal conformity.
