A New England meet-up maybe? 2006-12-01 21:15:23 Reply

I just realized how many people on Newgrounds are from the general New England area, so now an idea has struck me. If there can be a London meet, and a Montreal meet, then why not a New England meet? However, this thread is not for setting one up, it is just to see how many NGers that would come. So if you are interested and live near-by at all, give a mention here and give your input as to where, when, and how the meet should work. These are the ideas I have so far...

1) When baseball season starts up again, a meet at either a Red Sox or Yankees game.
2) With special permission (or not if you perfer), we all go down to Philly to give Tom a visit.
3) We meet up at Providence Place in Rhode Island and hang out there, probably spend most time at Dave & Busters.
4) Go up to the mountians and have a NG ski trip.

That is all the ideas I have so far. So please post if you could possibly do any of these and let's hear some input.

New England is in the US. It's the colonial part. Or something like that. I might come if we do have one.

I wish there were NG'ers somewhere near where I live... :( It gets kind of lonely sometimes.

If it were a baseball game I could probably go, I don't live too far from NYC, or Boston.

Something about meeting people over the internet is always odd though.

Us midwestern NG Users are rather lonely.

I am not saying he has to go alone. He can probably go with his family and jsut meet us while he is there. Parental supervision ftw!

Damn me living in Eastern Canada, the state closest to me is Maine. But my uncle does live in Boston, I could just stay with him for a few weeks and head down to Rhode Island.

You think there'd be any other way to just explain it to them?

Going with parents just seems like a killjoy.

Yes, it would ruin the fun. If I go, I will not be sober nor family-friendly.

Lol yea, it's okay; thanks for trying to include me though. I'm too young to drink beer and am not stupid enough to try it. GO SOX!

You forgot "drink alcohol" Downing shots at the local bar followed by bad dancing and tomfoolery. Nothing bonds a group of people like that.. sorta. its extreme but i guarantee yous would have fun.
