germany, france etc. were giving money to Iraq to help them process oil, and samdam was going to die eventually (cause hs is old) and they were going to claim the oil rigs. That is why they are assisting america.
p.s. oh and when you read the paper where they gave you the number of people lost in WW1 and WW2, Vietnam war, etc......doesnt it make you wonder WHY they gave you ONLY the american deaths? THERE WERE ABOUT 15 MILLION lifes lost in WW2 i belive, and i think they say that 300,000 americans deaths.....oh no! well, they do that to get sympathy from their people, and to bubble up the numbers a bit

Once again I agree u make alot of good points and alot of bd points. To st things straight the Patriot missle systems is a missle interception system usued to intercept scuds which have been luanched by Iraq. And say we are relying on other countries for support. I f you did pay attention whose soldiers have been excuted on live tv. America has over 200,000 soldiers, Britain has only like 40,000 and the rest of the countries are a 1000 or less.

in my argument "WAS" was the key word....and back then government lied saying that it was 90% than they dropped it to 50% etc.....and the reporter that reported the "milk factory incident" was fired....doesnt that tell you something? maybe the media doesnt want you to know certain thing? ok fine, how bout those "20 missles in one target" thing? hm? and what bout the market that was hit by one of the missles, and why are reporters are allowed with only ONE group of souldiers? why not let them roam free around the battle feilds? i bet u will say that government is worried about the reporters..ok..lets go back to "milk factory"....see what i am saying? and i bet the reporters have common sence, dont u think?

I don't support this war, but I don't think you listed one good reason why it should not be supported. Well, except the part about Saddam's eventual death(natural or assisted).

Your opinions are not well formed, and it would seem that you have not done your research on the use of patriot missiles. Some sources claim 0% efficiency in the early-90s war, and so far, we're seeing a success rate of about 70% now. We're also using a more recent version of the patriot missile, and while we still do use the older ones, they, too have been updated. The patriot missiles are not automatic, and their firing is controlled by real people who have to make split second judgements to be effective.

And before you go on and on about the british fighter plane being hit by one... check out the BBC's web site.

And as far as deconstructing what news you get.... the best way to do that is to check several sources.... I get the feeling you just watch CNN and read the local newspaper....

And yes, there are other nations involved in the war against Iraq, but not all the nations in the world support the war so its not that easy to get other nations to do shit for us and to do it correctly (Remember learning about the Bay of Pigs? Also, the CNN is not altering the news (pics) to leave out huge details, only Pete Jennings does that.
