I was just wondering, how do you make a repeating gif? I have some good ideas, but i don't know how to make them.

You mean an animated .gif?

You can make them from graphics software that supports animated .gif files, such as Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks, etc.

i used to make simple little gifs like buddy icons and stuff in 7th grade, using this simple program jasc animation shop 3. and its only 40 bucks, pretty cheap ;)

Compared to most of the other programs out there, it is. Photoshop is 650, fireworks is $300, and the cheapest version of flash is $400.

You may want to look around for a free gif animator in your case.

Even those are relatively cheap, Autodesk Maya costs between $2000 and $7000!

haha, true, but if he wanted to make and uber-complicated 3D gif maya would be the way to go.

Try
gimp or GifFun (both freeware).

Otherwise you can always get the more expensive programs like fireworks or photoshop.

Yeah you can. Press the "Export to Imageready" button on your tool bar. It's the button at the bottom. If you have CS2, you can go to Window > Animation.
