What military school are you going to?

For the love of God DO NOT go to West Ridge Academy/Utah Boys Ranch, thats where I went when I was 14 and it was complete hell. You get very, very little actual Military education and training and the rest of the time you do stupid shit just to entertain the asshole staff members.

Thats not true. My cousin got sent to one when he was 15 and it was top-notch. It was alot nicer and they actually taught marksmanship, field-craft, military doctrine and so forth.

The West Ridge Academy/Utah Boys Ranch only had one single "Military Disciple" course that you took in class, and then there was a survival/orienteering 150 mile hike which I did and 2 kids in my group almost died, one went into a coma.

Meanwhile, kids got their asses kicked by staff members, we had to dig holes and fill them up again in 100 degree heat just to amuse the staff members (I realize happened in the movie "holes") and it just fucking sucked.

I'm starting to believe that those were privately-ran camps with former military men, because I've never in my life heard of any type of military boot camp in which anyone could be physically touched by the staff. Although how a privately-ran camp could get away with that too is beyond me.

In the contract that me parents signed, it gave the staff members permission to use any physical means to prevent a 'cadet' from hurting themselves or others.

Also, the kids that got beaten up the worst were juvenile delinquents whose parents disowned them but were released to the Boys Ranch after behaving well in jail. They had no family members that gave a shit about them so they had no one to call on the outside to complain and nobody to visit them.

The staff could get away with it, and they did multiple times. I got punched probably 10 times, I even got a shovel thrown at me the first couple of weeks I was there. It was fucking brutal.

Facts of war. Since the US is the only country in Iraq that has actually done combat operations since 03, its no wonder that they expend most of the ammunition.

But funny though, the Coalition doesn't give enemy body counts so you're little '200,000 bullets to kill one insurgent' claim is absolutely bullshit because nobody knows how many insurgents have been killed.
