Now before I continue, let me say I LOOOVE sonys games for the consoles, but the consoles themselves SUCK ASS.

I have two BROKEN playstation 2's, both of which never over-heated, or were stepped on or anything. One can't read disks, the other gets disk read errors.

Now, ALL my nintendo consoles on the other hand WORK.

My NES works perfect, so does my SNES, and N64, I plan on buying a WII.

To further prove that sony's consoles suck, I played a playstation 3, and literally 45 seconds into it, it had to restart because it over-heated, after the restart it froze.

No other console has done this to me, so a big FUCK YOU to sony for making a cheap piece of shit console.

That's why I wait a while to buy the new sytems, so they fix all the bugs and glitches.

sony rushes to put them together wich means that they stop working before a nentendo system, wich takes there time to put them together.

The consoles are easily breakable, therefore sucks. But since Playstation came out the controller felt natural on my hands. Not only that but even some great games!

Every system has bugs when it first comes out.

Give sony time they'll prove they can still make quality proiducts.

My Wii is great btw.

I guess you do have a good point in some regards, however the Playstations are pretty good systems. Sure there are a lot of bugs with the system with all the revolutionary discoveries in video games, but if you wait for the improved systems, it'll be a lot better. I've had my PS2 for a while and I haven't had any problems. Guess you just got unlucky.

I've had an Xbox that has outlasted two PS2's, three gamecubes, and a good three or four handhelds. Does that make it better than the rest of them? No, it means I happened to get one of the better made ones. Plus it helps that I play my PS2 more than my other systems. The gamecubes really do suck ass for me for some reason, I hardly ever play them, and keep them in good condition, but they still seem to "break down" on me.

As far as the PS3, what do you expect? Every system since the next gen phase started (I.E. PS2) has had problems right after release, that's just how it works.

the ps2 itself did not suck, CDs are a pretty bad medium is all.
nintendo has stuck to cartridges, which also have their problems.

Playstations have always had the worse designs. Fragile, poorly constructed, ugly etc. And the graphics have never really been the best, always too pixelated. But they have had some great games such as Abe's Odysee, Crash Bandicoot, Need for Speed, Gran Turismo etc. I think if Sony put more work into the Playstation business, instead of just browsing the market for pre made stuff to mass buy and put into the consol, they should design video cards etc from scratch to meet the consoles requirments.

The only reason I have a wii is because that they are cheap and don't have shit games like the PS3.

you are right, i do job training in an electronics class as part of my school day, my teacher encourages the students to bring in any electronics that are broken because we have the tools to fix it. k, now 80% of the things brought in to be fixed are sony consoles, never before has anybody in my class or the building had to bring in x box or game cube to be fixed. the building i go to has all sorts of job training.

some mods sure act like they have sticks up their asses.

i had all three systems, xbox ps2 and gamecube. Not only did the ps2 out last them both it was the one i played more. that thing froze like 3 times in 4 years. the xbox froze like 4 times a fucking day. now my 360 is freezing alot too so i don't think sony makes shitty systems.

The orginal ps1 was a freakin masterpiece, ps2 had some faulty rigs at its release (never had any problem with mine), and the ps3 is one hefty machine with an even more hefty price tag.

same. i mean, my friend got a 360 a week or 2 after it came out. we had a huge party for him adn his 360. we played all night, well alteast until the cord burn throught the plasitic on the power cable. never ever buy a launch system.

the only reason the Wii and every other nintendo system works is because it uses old technology for the time. all teh Wii is is a controller.

No, Nintendo consoles aren't complex and therefore have a less chance of being defective. And even now, with that caveman's system, the GameCube 1.5, it has many more bugs than the PS3 does.

I have played a PlayStation 3. It makes no noise and does not overheat.

I own a PS1 and NES, neither has broken down after probably well over 1000 hours of gaming each.

ps2's disc drives wear out fast because alot of there games stream of of the dvd to make up for the fact the hardware just couldnt keep up. later generation ps one games that started doing the streaming trick also killed alot of earley ps ones.

same thing is also starting to happen to the first year psp's now. umd movies are psp killers

Yeah, the PS2's dependability is shit. I have seen more broken PS2s than I probably will see of any other consoles COMBINED, for the rest of my life.
