well, ill be damned
Haha. I know what you mean. When he sings everything meshes together into a blur.
That's fine if people leave the concert. Anyone that has the limelight should take advantage of expressing their war views where applicable. Anyone who doesn't is just a comfort seeker that wishes not to disturb people's thoughts, or take chances.
If you're going to fight for your convictions, you are certainly going to adquire enemies.

Well, at least they weren't afraid to say it in front of an American audience, unlike the Dixie Chicks...
I think they were just expressing their opinion, which I can respect. I only get upset when celebrities make a show out of it to get attention. But since this was at their own concert, I don't have that much of a problem with it.
But if I were there, I would have booed too. I'm not sure if I would have gone so far as to walk out, but I might have.

if ur a fan of pearl jam then u should have their latest cd... right, so then u would hear 'bush leaguer' or whatever the song and kinda get an idea of what his views are... and the best part, even if they walk out pearl jam still got the money from the ticket they bought...
i love capitalism...

ive left concerts early, but none as early as when i went to ozzfest 2001. i was like wow, i never thought ozzy would suck so much ass live. the rest of the show kicked ass, i dont think it will ever be that good again

To Clarify:
"He impaled the mask during the encore of the band's opening show of a U.S. tour. "
He did this at the END of the show.
And people were walking out, 'eh?
I would be, too. I saw those guys in concert once, and I couldn't stay the entire show simply because it sucked.
Nice way to make the statement, though.

You actually admit to seeing them? I thought they died in a freak gardening accident or something. Anything for press, I suppose.
