American Football is a pussy sport, they wear padding and massive helmets for christ sake. Rugby is the manliest sport.

I still don't understand why the Americans call their football 'Football'
In English football (soccer) the players actually use their feet to kick the ball for the whole game - apart from the goalkeeper. But in American Football, don't the players use their hands?

So? Dosent mean i can have my opinion. Out of the two, i would have to say 'proper' football is better than that American crap.

American football is played in more countries than just the USA, it just isn't as popular elsewhere. There is a European league after all. I do watch it, and follow it, but the stop start nature of the game, and how little it flows, mean I rarely watch whole matches.
And Association football has, I think, 204 international teams (or thereabouts), and there are only 193 officially recognised countries in the world, so 300 seems a little ambitious. Having said that it is without doubt the biggest sport in the world, and is probably the biggest leveller in sporting terms between the big nations and some of the worlds sporting minnows (think of African teams, South American teams etc.). In my opinion it is also the most attractive to watch, the most enjoyable to play, and the most passionate sport on the planet.
In short, unless you are in Canada or the USA, Association football is by far the bigger sport, and in my opinion the better one.

You can't really compare American football to Real football.
You can compare american football to Rugby, Aussie rules an canadian football. And it would go Aussie Rules>>Rugby>> American football>>canadian football.
Howether Real football (soccer) is a completley different sport and it is of course the best sport in the world.

Soccer is far more entertaining then Football. American Football is a lot of standing around and beer commercials.
Personally, it's Soccer, Rugby, then American Football.

Your an idiot your first of all your saying that the most popular sport in the world isn't and second saying it's for "Foot fairies" When soccer is filled with harsh tackles and injuries plus you can't say American Football is for strong man when it's a bunch fucking pansy's running a way from one another covered in gear to protect themselves from hurting themselves.
Go to this link and see the soccer tackle look towards the player in the red shirt foot.

I prefer actual football. Where the foot connects to the ball.
Only real complaints I have are the growing amount of edvertisments (but it's still a light offender compared to American Football), and the pussy fake falling tactic. But like "Score one goal and then stop opponent at all cost" tactic that was popular at time, it will be replaced by time. I guess there's a curve there; Lame tactics - cool tactics -lame tactics -cool tactics etc. ad. inf.
But seriously, even someone as un-athletic as me is on the edge of the seat at a good conflict, one guy trying to desperately pass, as four defenders try to stop him. One wrong move, and the offence is for nothing. And there, Ram The Fucker To The Ground™ isn't an option.
