Just posted another entry (on page 7) but this time using another art medium and a totally un-cartoony style. Any constructive comments would be welcome guys?

Im not sure, its weird, it looks like a picture/blurry painting that you just added a bunch of filters on? it is hard to critisize something that distorted. the composition (which is the only thing i can see for sure) is fairly good though, i would have made the cat lower maybe

Ahnm....yeah,it´s surely different....but the idea was great.....better would be if it was a picture of a girl in a fathing position or osmething like it and....the you could do it looking like a draw.....anyway,i just got that retarded idea...... anyway,it´s quite original

Hi Sirkowski,
I'm quite a fan of your work - and that last piece was (even though I anticipated Eva's actions) great!

I inked it manualy with the brush. The light blue color is just easier to ink over.

Hey, thanks doopa. I like yours too. Work on that anatomy a bit more. Perhaps it's intentional, but the bear's arm is really curved. Love the lighting.
Here's a bigger version of my piece. http://www.girlshavecooties.com/gallery/canno ngirl.jpg

Thanks for the feedback elmicah and Flashing-Bird. Going off what you've told me I now know what to revise/change/experiment with in future pieces.
The blurring of the pic is intentional as is the lack of features on the childs face (it's a psychological attempt to make the viewer feel wary or find the picture disturbing).
Thanks a lot guys! ^_^

Yeah the colored version made me sigh, for me atleast it looked way to rushed like he did it in 5 minutes, it really ruined what i thought was going to turn out real nice.

I think I like yours the best so far, but I don't know why you left all that space on the left . There's nothing to see there :o

Love the girlscout standing in doorway, do a more dramatic angle though if possible, like an ant's eye view, could be really awesome. Looking forward to it.

And while we're at it, here's that first entry that I had started to color with photoshop. I was coloring it by computer, then I printed the outline, painted it and decided it was cool enough to enter like that. I had planned on finishing this, but I guess I won't now because its so incredibly boring.

@KingJava: cool submission! (I'm referring to the Santa's) Good idea, good performance. The only thing you may want to improve is the girl, just to make her appear less generic, and to give her a bit more personality. Other than that, it's just perfect. 8)

My favorite of the bunch. I especially like the effect you get from the image having to be cropped. Seeing one dead reindeer at first, followed by the slaughter image just made it that more surprising. Very cool, excellent concept. I also like the inconspicuous look of the girl, just a normal little girl with a huge weapon.
51 boners.

Nice lines pox, and textures on the previous. Some really impressive art coming out for this competition. While I like the detailed pics of huge tech weapons I personally feel that the payoff is in the result of a small girl with a big weapon. As cutesy as they look, what happens when they get these weapons? Kind of boring to just have them stand around and take aim at an imaginary target. ¢2
