They should be -- at least -- treated like anyone else. But they should be treated with more scrutiny. It is businesses and corporations that can afford taxes and the like; they should not be given tax cuts if it is everyone else who will suffer.

Funding should be provided for housing insofar as it it necessary. Health care and post-secondary education should be 100% government funded.

The government should not have or advocate a particular religion, but it should promote tolerance.

Insofar as what the majority wants is not harmful to anyone, then they should be listened to. The minorities' positions should also be considered.

Compromise.

They should not be treated as though they are problems. Things can be learned from other groups. They should be embraced.

Government regulation allows for a level of quality control. Some drugs should be legal, others should not. Crystal meth seems to do a lot of damage, for example. Pot should be legalized. It will cut down on the costs of prisons, policing, and the psychological damage being in a prison causes.

Education, housing, welfare programs, and health care.

Anything but the military.

Drugs themselves shouldnt be illegal BUT there should be should be severe restrictions on those drugs like where you could use them, activites you are doing while using them, and age of use

Means of transportion, schooling, and jobs that aid our country

There should be programs and funding to help these people. Certain "necessities of life" should be available to them that are government subsidized so that they needed starve or freeze to death.

Make it harder to become a teacher. Public education is an important role and the teachers who help produce the next generation need to be top quality and dedicated.

Churches need to get out of the government and stop trying to run the show. This isn't a theocracy. I think the government would do better with certain rules of morality and ethical practice in place, but not ones that are specific to any one religion.

The government should obey the will of the people, but not to the exclusion of the others. Minorities and Majorities need to find a compromise that can be workable for everyone.

Compromise or other ways for the minority idea to have at least some weight. Provisions made in certain laws that allow for minorities to be represented as well.

With equal respect and a blind eye. No kind of "ism" (racism, sexism, heterosexism, etc) should dictate the government. The only "ism" that is acceptable is "Universalism".

Drugs should be illegal and there should be better programs for breaking addictions. Pot should be illegal, but only a slap on the wrist for posession, slightly harder slap on the wrist for selling.

Government should serve the will of the people. Goverment should ideally be a selfless institution that serves those who elect them into power and make clear cut laws that are for the protection of the people. Goverment should also provide ways for the underprivleged to survive with enough food, water, shelter, clothing, and a chance for medical care and a job

A question like "How should government treat business?" ought to be followed up by any smart subject by the answer "In regards to what?" That holds true for most of these. Not to mention these questions all revolve around domestic policy, where parties often hold wildly divergent viewpoints for political positioning, as opposed to foreign policy. At best you're measuring one side of a four-sided political ideology question with your questions: Domestic-Economic.

I feel that they should be taxed approriately and not allowed to monopolize. I also feel that they shold not be allowed to fund candidates in return for favors. If that wasn't your question sorry for misunderstanding.

I think that we should pay off the national debt and use the influx of money the country pays on loans to better improve our system from there. Every year the debt gets bigger (last I recall) and the payout to banks becomes more. All that time we could be using this money to better medicare, education, welfare, create jobs, etc. I feel that sometimes it isn't enough, yet when I went to school and saw the poor kids....
1. Not doing their school work
2. Eating free meals from government education spending.
3. Getting involved in criminal activites.
Yet I visit one underprivledged and see.......
1. One or two parents sitting on a couch.
2. The parent(s) owning a car that costs more then their delapitated trailor home.
3. Not paying a damn bit of attention to their kid.
I feel that the parents are to blame for poor being in itself. I've seen it time and time again how kids gets fed up with thier life, get an education, and become middle class or even upperclass buisness owners. Especailly because there is absolutely NOTHING stopping them from succeeding. You can change funding all you want. Things won't improve unless parents quit being lazy, intentionally stupid, and start giving a damn.

Religeon has no place in government. How many times over will it be learned the hard way that it just doesn't work. Things as big as war (WWII and our current one for example) to the not so extreme women right to choose.

I pride myself in being a true American. I see one american as another. To me race, religon, and orrentation should have absolutely no effect in the meaning of Majority or Minority. As much as that is the way I see thing it is the harsh reality that we face that not everyone sees one american as an american. It always has to be african-american, or asain-american. As much as I would like to be rid of it all and simply say you're american, peoples minds are beyond my control.

Thats a tough one with many many views. I feel that they should continue to stay illegal because of the lives it ruins and the other people it affects. If they only affect the individual I'm not sure I'd have a problem with it. But so many who have nothing to do with drugs are affected by it who would rather not be.
