What Political Class Are You? 2006-11-26 22:09:36 Reply

I've payed attention to alot of Politics lately and am even taking a class in it so I can learn about American government and pretend I know what I'm talking about. Even so I still don't know everything there is and I cannot fix the problems of the nation. I am not a philospher and I am just a Centrist.

However I have become pretty keen on figuring out what political class a person is just by how they behave and what idea's they hold.

So I have come up with a detailed quiz to tell you what political class you are in. You can answer any way to wish and I will tell you what you are. If I say you are something you are not then maybe you should rethink your ideology instead of lumping yourself with whatever is common today. If you still think I am wrong then you don't have to pay attention to this.

Respond with answers to this quiz. Be completely honest and I don't care how extreme you think it will sound to the other person. Here we go:

1. How should this nation treat buisnesses and corperations?
2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?
3. How should government treat public education?
4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?
5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?
6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?
7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?
8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?
9. What are the main things you think government should provide?
10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Don't state what you are, just answer these and I will respond.

You are probably a communitarianist who would be fine with a Direct Democracy or a Social Democracy.

1. How should this nation treat buisnesses and corperations?

Corperations should be streamlined so they are better prepared to compete in the global market. The gov should keep a watchful eye on business, because they are the only people that can regulate them.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Poor: Education programs to get them out of the gutter. Not free handouts.
Healthcare: No opinion. Not informed enough to make a decision.
College: The government should stop cutting LGA and driving up the cost of tuition. We are no longer a nation of manufacturing, we need to have more education to compete globally.

3. How should government treat public education?

Children are our future. We need to stop cutting LGA. Period. If we could better educate the children, we would have a lesser crime rate.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

I personally support the lemon test when it comes to the seperation of church and state. I can't stand accomidationists who will trample on the seperation clause, and I hate high wall stances that don't allow for public transit to be used to shuttle religious school children to their private school. I don't believe in forcing ideals down people's throats.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Majority rule, but i can't stand the majority using plurality as a justification for discrimination against the minority. We need to balance both.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Discuss it, and decide which idea has more merit. Just because the majority believes something is right, does not make it so.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

With respect.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

I quite honestly don't give a shit about pot. It is a soft drug, and the people who want to do it will do it. If the government doesn't want to regulate it, then they will just have to deal with the revenue that they are missing out on. As for hard drugs, we need to take a hard line them. Meth, Coke, Crack, Heroin, and others need to be wiped from the streets. They are a major problem in society.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Economic oppertunity, a protecter of civil rights, and individual freedom.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Transit, welfare programs, education, and defense.

I shall await your judgement, but I already know what I am.

With basic requirments like minimum wage and proper hour times, but besides that it should stay private.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

The nation should not help the poor, or else that would be a step towards communism. Instead we should and motivate the citizens to actively help the homeless. Health care should remain a business, people in lower classes should be more likely for a scholarship if they work hard or stand outside of their class in terms of education.

3. How should government treat public education?

It should be well regulated, free, a large amount of taxes pumped into that.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Stricter.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Majority overules minority.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Take it up with the majority.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

There should be no distinction, as this creates further discrimination.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Illegal.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Security, liberty, luxury.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Education, home security.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Shelters, welfare, etc. What we have now is decent, I think.

3. How should government treat public education?

The government should fund it and encourage it. It should be mandatory with the choice at a later age to drop out.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

There should be a definate seperation of church and state. We are in a land of religious freedom, no religion should guide us.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The government should treat everyone equally, marjority and minority.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

I suppose it depends on the idea, and the situation in which the idea is being placed.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

Equally and with freedom. No religion, race, or culture is better than another.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Legalize soft drugs (pot, shrooms, etc).

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Shelter and protection of the citizen's rights.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Education, infrastructure (if needed), science, public transportation, etc.

Jose: Is very very smart. Besides that he'd better fit in the Center/Sensible Center/ Centrist leaning more to the left slightly. You probably think this government works...if people weren't such a flawed factor. You'd be suited (probably) for the Democratic party. Which, ironically, should be a centered party.

fahrenheit: You are a conservative and are probably most fitted with the Republican party. I know they aren't popular lately, but it would be best if could get your voice heard from within a party. You aren't a neo-conservative though, but rather a classic conservative.

Tancrisism: You are a conservative best fit for the Libritarian party.

Funny, for the longest time I've considerred myself a liberal, until I opened my eyes to the fact that the democratic party was just as bullshitty as the republican. I could see how you would conclude what you did though. Good show.

Businesses should be regulated to ensure that they thrive in order to drive our economy.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Everyone should be allowed access to education, housing and health care, but the government has no responsibility to feed the "sponges." Public works programs should
replace the current welfare system by giving people an opportunity to work for their wages and discourage abuse by those simply too lazy to actually get a job.

3. How should government treat public education?

Education should be a priority. Increased spending & regulation of the national education system in order to bring all states to the same level, without dumbing down those that already excell.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Seperation of church should refer only to attempts by religious institutions to directly influence the political process. Churches shouldn't donate money to campaign funds, but who cares if the dollar bill says "In God We Trust?"

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Exactly the same.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Both ideas should be taken into consideration. No one is right all of the time.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

Everyone should be treated equally and should be allowed to celebrate their culture, but no one race, etc should be given precedence over another.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

I don't believe that the government should be able to tell you what you can and cannot put into your body, but some measure of control does need to be exercised. Pot is comparatively harmless as long as restrictions like those on alcohol are enforced. A Pot tax could also be an excellent source of revenue.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

The government has no responsibility to its citizens beyond safety and security, and the opportunity to excell. Education, Job opportunities and a fair health care system.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Defense, Education & Infrastructure. In that order.

Like civil rights, I believe economic rights should be plentiful but not to the point of allowing everything. They should be liberterian, but not anarchaic.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

If it has the money, help them, if not, tough luck I geuss. Raising taxes to help them just creates other problems.

3. How should government treat public education?

It should be objective, voluntary(students who don't want to learn, just won't, no point throwing them in jail for it), and effecient. Teachers should be graded on how much information they teach and how well they teach it, not wether or not 7% got A's 13% got B's 40% got C's 25% got D's and 15% got F's, and if those numbers rise or drop, their in trouble. Fucked up as that sounds, that's how teachers are actually rated in our current school system(though I don't know if those are the exact percentages).

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Absolute seperation. No incouragement or discouragement of religion.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

No one should get any say, that only invites tyrants to use rhetoric in order to shape the government their own way.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

See # 5.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

It should completely ignore all of those things.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

All drugs should be legal. If people wish to hurt themselves it's their problem.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Security from a chaotic anarchy.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

The military.

Being the backbone of our society, they should receive proper financial assistance from the government, to a certain degree.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

House them, at all costs.

3. How should government treat public education?

Public education may well be what leads our society into decline, or into a greater state of prosperity. I believe that to reach the prosperity, we should spare no expense to make sure the children of the future are prepared to contribute to society as adults.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Stricter. Keep church AWAAAAAY from state.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The majority rules, but the minority is not discounted

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Have the two factions agree to a halfway compromise.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

Equal respect, Equal opportunity. The government should not, however, fund a religious, racial, or culturally based group.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Drugs should be illegal, to a certain extent. A small amount of pot is not any more detrimental to health than smoking a cigarette, and it would be hypocritical not to tentatively legalize small portions. However, Heroin and Cocaine are a threat and a menace to the populace of the country, and should therefore remain illegal.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Housing, Employment, Emergency Services, Security

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Public Transportation, School Funding

Don't state what you are, just answer these and I will respond.

Leave business alone if they are small. With corporations, fine them if they make things that shouldn't be what the normally make. example: Burger King making that one game

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Give the homeless a home. Help those who need it.

3. How should government treat public education?

Education should be a high, if not the highest priority. After all, todays kids are tomarrow's future.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Church should be taught in schools IF and only if it is a class that teaches about religion. In other words, both evolution and religion should be taught in schools repsective of the class.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Everyone should have a say in whjat happens. The majority should not always win and the minority needs to be listened to more often.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

They shouldn't. I believe that every person has their own idea and should support it, with exceptions like if you think pedofilia should be allowed.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

Let the people practice what they want. Government should stay away from religion. If I have a different religion then some one else or culture or idea, then I should be allowed to practice those.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

I don't care. I support its legalization because in turn, it would cause people to use it less. (PM me if you wanna know why I think this). It should be illegal because because of some of the stupid crap that's done while people are on drugs. the same goes with pot.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Free education and free medical help on things like Kimo (however its spelled). a few years back, my bak account needed to be cleaned out because my mom couldn't afford to pay for her kimo treatments.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

As long as the government doesn't use it to make their wallets fatter or more corrupt, i could truely care less about what it's used for.

1. How should this nation treat buisnesses and corperations?

Free enterprise, nearly a pure form of capitalism. The government should only intervene in rare circumstances when doing so is necessary. Other than that, the government should mind its P's and Q's and let the citizens be the driving force of the entire economy.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Poor people who have legitimate reasons for being unsuccessful like having disabilities, health problems and so forth should be given aide. People who are currently on government aide but are capable of working and providing for themselves should be forced to fend for themselves. People who are physically and mentally capable of working should be given absolutely no aide unless they have dependents.

I think that welfare only tries to alleviate the system instead of encouraging people to become independent and successful through their own devices.

3. How should government treat public education?

State funded public education as is the policy right now.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

I believe in a seperation of church and state, but I do not believe in the extermination of God from American public life. I believe that small local governments should be able to invoke God in their meetings, celebrate religious holidays, and so forth but not force other people to do so. However, even though I believe in God, I think that "under God" should be stricken from the Pledge of Allegiance.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The majority rules. But the minority should still be given equal opportunity and given conduits to express their ideas publicly if they have the resources to do so.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

The majority rules, this is a democratic principle. Efforts should be made to compromise with the minority on issues, but the majority should hold sway.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

The same way they treat every religion, race and culture. Everyone should be given absolute equal opportunity and individual responsibility. No favoring of the predominant culture, but I also don't believe that minority sects of society should be given special treatment in order to make up for their poverty or other problems.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

I believe the laws are fine the way they are now. But I believe individual states should decide their drug laws. Drug addiction is a plague, so I think there should be more effort into rehabilitating people who are addicts.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Safety, political freedom, opportunity, privacy, and the right to free enterprise. Only people who have good reasons to be less successful should be given special treatment so no aide to lazy people.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Defense, research money (science and health), assistance for disabled people, foreign aide, national infrastructure, and small amounts of money invested in subsidiaries that are important to the country as a whole (farming, energy, automobile, aeronautics and so forth)

Many different ways. It needs to protect the business from overseas business. Protect business from each other, though still allowing creative destruction. Also it protect the citizens from out of control business. In other words, keep it on a leash and fending away the foreign dogs.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Give them the chance at succeeding that thye deserve. We all know that they are "equal" but they are definitely behind. Give them the help they need to start, but if they misuse it, take it away.

3. How should government treat public education?

It should do the smae as it's doing now. The gov. should focus more on improving the image of education so that the motivation exists.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Extremely strict. People can be religious on their own time. The government's job is to keep the order, not keep The Order. (pun, don't you love it?)

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Read Federlaist papers. Follow the majority while still respecting the minority. Very intelligent idea for 1770's when those ideas didn't exist before.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Compromise, but leaning the compromise closer to the majority*.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

It should treat them as if it was ignorant to their race, religion, sex, and so on.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Drugs should be heavily controlled. A drugged people are not a productive people.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Freedom, Quality of Life**, and Protection. In that order.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

It should be used for anything that would be useful to this country. I do think it should be correctly used. i.e. Countrywide projects come from the federal, state from the state, local from the local. Multi-small region, from that small region. Pork is good to eat, but not good on my pocket book.

* there are exceptions, when the greater good is not promoted by the majority. Brown v. Board of Education. Gay marriage.

** Included, and highlighted in the quality of life is equality

Favorably, as long as they follow fair trade practices (no monopolies, scams, etc).

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Try to assist in self-improvement or temporarily support, but no long-term support (that's not the government's job).

3. How should government treat public education?

As a top priority because it has such a powerful influence over developing kids.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Organized religion should never be allowed to influence the government, but personal religion in politicians is fine as long as they do not let it influence them unduely (lobbying for a Crusade, etc).

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The government should listen to the majority, but address the protection concerns of the minority. The goverment must fight to protect minorities from violence, exploitation, and bigoted trade practices, and the same is true for the majority.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Consider compromising, but usually follow the majority. If there is some reason the minority has particular merit (all of the Professors in the entire nation banding together), then it should be considered under special circumstances.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

Religions should be ignored for the most part unless conflict springs up between them, race should be nonexistant except when fighting racism, and new Americans should be pressured to integrate into American culture.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Medical drugs should be carefully considered, any smoked recreational drug should be disallowed, and alcohol should be carefully limited. Beyond that, harder drugs should be disallowed.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Protection, public infrastructure.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Public infrastructure, special R&D (like NASA, the DOD), and law enforcement.

Well, I'm going heavier on textbook definition rather than societies definition on what a liberal and conservative should be.

Leave the poor things be.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

I think their should be aid only up to a certain point. The people shouldn't be to dependant on their government, but it should assist.

3. How should government treat public education?

As a top priority. Funding should depend on number of students in the school.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

It should be much stricter. Seperation of church and state is an important foundation for our country.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

"Majority rules with minority rights"

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

If a compromise of some sort is reachable, go for it. If not, try not to completely ignore the voice of the minority, while at the same time giving the majority power.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

With equality. No extra benefits for those of a certain group.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Drugs should be illegal. Pot should be...restricted, but not punishable with jail sentences like it is today.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Benefits for it's citizens, like education and healthcare. As well as protect for enemies.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Anything except Congressmens fat fucking wallets is quite alright.

Should regulate them so as to allow the consumer chioce and stop monopolies.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live

Government should pay for healthcare for eveyone, education in all forms should be paid for by the government and the Government should do it's best to ensure everyone has a safe place to sleep at night.

3. How should government treat public education?

Get rid of standardised testing and provide a higher quality of education than is currently offered by getting large companies to get invovled in schools and providing some of the funding.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Looser

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The Government should repsond to both majority and minorities in the same way. They should pay attention to all their ideas and needs and then consdier them and implement the oens that benefit the msot people.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Stay out of it unless the idea is potentially dangerous to the security of the nation in some way.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

It should encourage integration, though it should not force it upon people.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Pot can be made legal and I wouldn't care, provided that it was regulated in the same way that alcohol and tobacco are.

Keep an eye on them, make sure they aren't doing anything over the top, but other than that, leave them alone.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

Make something like a prision, but they are free to come and go as long as they promise to get jobs. Actual prisions should be converted to work camps where they are stil able to benefit society.

3. How should government treat public education?

Controlled by federal government so they can be more equal.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

Don't force anyone to do anything religous, but things like having the ten commandments will be up local government. If anyone is upset by the sight of the ten commandments, a government agent will be deployed to play a sad song on the world's smallest violin.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

Majority rules, minority rights. Or whatever.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Ignore it unless it is something completely unfair.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

All the same.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

Legalize, standardize, and tax the hell out of it; but not for any of the addictive drugs. Also, tabacco will slowly be outlawed.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

Enable people to have a good start on their lives.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

Education, welfare, and research.

1. How should this nation treat buisnesses and corperations?

The government should not interfere with the free market in any way

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

no interference, individuals are not entitled to these things, as no one should be forced to provide such things for others

3. How should government treat public education?

abolish public education completely, it is an abysmal failure. Public schools have no incentive to perform, if things were going well how could they justify a tax increase next year? I may support some form of public financing, but the schools should be privately owned and operated. Competition empowers consumers, government monopolies mean price gouging and poor performance

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

religion should play no role in government

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

government should approach citizens as individuals

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

see #5

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

see #5

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

all drugs should be completely legal, let indivuals make their own descisions, and let them deal with the consequences

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

defense and policing, and ONLY defense and policing

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

see # 9

At 11/26/06 10:09 PM, SirXVII wrote: 1. How should this nation treat buisnesses and corperations?

The government should be the sole entity in charge of creating and regulating businesses, since it, unlike private companies, is accountable to the people.

2. How should government treat the poor, those without health care, those who cannot afford college, and those who have no where to live?

The government should provide the basic necessities of life to all its citizens. Everybody, including those who are unwilling to work, is entitled to a decent standard of living. Because of this, there should be an equal quality of health care given to all people, education should be free for anyone who wishes to learn, and some sort of housing structure should be available to all (perhaps a homeless shelter of some sort; something simple, practical, and inexpensive).

3. How should government treat public education?

All education should be provided by the government, and all people should be able to go to school, at no cost to themselves, should they so desire.

4. How should government treat the seperation of church and state? Should it be stricter? Should it be looser?

It should be a complete separation; the state should play no role whatsoever in religion and the church should not be able to affect the policies of the state. No particular religion should be supported or opposed by the government in any way.

5. How should government respond to the majority? How should they respond to the minority?

The decision of the majority, as long as it conforms with our legal framework, should be accepted. However, there minority should have some right to impede the passage of an unfair and tyrannical bill to encourage compromise. For example, the minority may be able to block certain motions and force a super-majority (60 percent, maybe) to agree on them before they can be passed. If at all possible, money bills should be constructed in such a way as to be equitable to the majority of the parties, and would require an even greater majority to be passed.

6. If a minority idea conflicts with a majority idea then how should government respond to it?

Same as above.

7. How should government treat religion, race, and cultures in this country?

The government should be completely separate from such issues. It should recognize no distinctions between various religions, races, or cultures, as long as their activities are legal.

8. What about drugs? Should the be legal or illegal? Should pot be legal or illegal?

All drugs, as long as they do not pose health risks to bystanders, should be made legal for the adult population (over 16). However, activities which can be detrimental to the health of others, such as smoking, must be confined to a private area.

9. What are the main things you think government should provide?

It should provide an economic framework which is capable of supporting all its people and a legal system which effectively deals with crime.

10. In general, what are the major things you think your tax money should be used for?

They should be used for providing a wide range public services from which the whole country can benefit.

Nope, geuss again. Notice the part where I said the people should have no say? Or where I said the government's focus should be the military? You were close, but I actually believe in an egalitatrian dictatorship, where there is one leader who leaves the people alone to live their lives, but gives them no say in the government, is willing to punish violent criminals the way they should be, and keeps a strong military.

Political compass is biased, and it mistakes political freedom(having say in the government) for civil rights.

And this topic isn't biased.

And apparently Wikipedia says that a form of Civil Right is the right to vote.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights

While Webster's Dictionary says that Civil Rights are the nonpolitical rights of a citizen.

http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/Civil%20Rights

While the American Heritage Dictionary says: The rights belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship, especially the fundamental freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the 13th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and by subsequent acts of Congress, including civil liberties, due process, equal protection of the laws, and freedom from discrimination.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Civil% 20Rights

And according to the 14th Ammendment, voting is a privelage or Immunity of citizenship, so in essnece, your point can be strongly debated either way, making Wikipedia in one sense not wrong.
