Reinstating Draft

Congress is voting to reinstating the draft. I think that this is a great idea. We need more people to jion in our military and since there ins't enough patriotic people to join and fight for this great nation, we NEED an draft!

Look, the draft is for worst case scenario. Where our lives must be protected, not so we can uphold the peace... You draft when your country is in fear of being destroyed! That as far as I can tell isn't happening. I have a condition which should exclude me from draft (physical and it's not going away), but if I didn't I'd jump on a train to CANADA!

If the Democrats and Bush want to be all kicked out very quickly, they better not reinstate the draft. Iraq is totally not worth it, and everyone knows that. We would have a revolution before allowing idiots in Congress to draft us for something so stupid.

We've already been over this: The draft isn't being reinstated. Democrat Charlie Rangel is just doing this as a political point. Last time he did it, the bill was voted down 402-2, and Rangel acctually voted against it.

The moral of conscripts/drafted soldiers depends upon the war itself. If your country is being invaded moral will be alot higher than if it is a draft to help win an overseas war. The moral of drafted soldiers going to Iraq will be very low.

A draft is a foolish idea because first of all we are not at war within our country. A draft is for self-protection and not police actions or as the politicians call it spreading democracy. It is unfair and unjust to send us to a country that is not even our own soil by force.

It is not unpatriotic to not support the Iraqi war. It is unpatriotic to dis-own soldiers who bravely fight Iraq out of free-will.
