tom, just out of curiousity...i know the cd labels are coming after the little guys right now, big bands and whatnot, but what about movie soundtracks/show soundtracks? obviously, they can if they wanted to...anyone can sue for anything these days, or at least put up the lawsuit for it. what i mean is...is it ok if we use shit like star wars songs in our movies, movies from tv shows, whatnot? i keep downloading songs from the audio portal and alot of them would be good as a preloader loop but i cannot find any songs that would fit my series. what i really mean is, if someone were to do say, a dbz movie, that had almost nothing about the actual show in it, and was a fanfiction and its own original story, but still had music from the show, would you still refrain from showing something like that? even if the credits gave props to bruce faulconer, the composer for all of the songs on the show? or is everyone picking on you, and not just record label companies? the only music that could fit my series is dbz music and i have it all composed, and some day, when the series is finally complete (its on the 4th episode now) that might someday be able to be put in the dbz parodies list...although...there are other ones in there with that music..do you mean youll refrain from showcasing it on the front page if it had commercialised music? can u explain which commercial songs we are talking about, and the range of bands these companies spread? can we use nonpopular songs?
--also i find it kind of ironic that these tycoons complain about artists having movies containing their titles, but has anyone tried to file anything over your assasin page, where you not only have their songs, but you kill the artists as well!
