Well, this site mostly is made by so called normal people with no official training in arts of any kind, I suppose, so the level of art naturally varies.
I agree with you about the overall quality of the work in here and understand your point, though no one can really say what is real art and who are real artists. Looks like that most of the people here are beginners who seek comments to improve their skills, so the only direction is for the better, hopefully... Maybe linking to drawing tutorials (found in DA etc..) would help most.
