Will Foster

I dont know how many of you know who Will Foster is, or how many of you will read this. Will Foster an almost 30 year old man, he was put in prison because he was growing marijauna in his basement. He was growing weed to ease the pain of his other medications and was prescribed marijauna by his doctor. He has received 93 years in prison, and if he were to fufill his term to its full, He will be released at the age of 131. I highly doubt he will live long enough to do so. I have realised that he is serving a longer sentence than some rapists, murderers, who have been put on probation and let loose to ease prison crowding. Would you rather have a murderer or a pot grower let out of prison? This is just a thought, I doubt many people will see this and/or respond to it. I just wanted to get my opinion out somewhere were it might be heard.

I first heard about Foster from a local high school student, I have found very few but some links and also that his sentence has been let down to 20 years!

I definitely would rather have a rapist or murderer in prison than someone who is caught growing marijuana in their basement. I don't understand, even with our terrible legal system, that something like this could happen. Plus, it isn't like the man was growing it to sell. He was just trying to ease his pain. This really gets me angry. Is the legal system that stupid? Money, power, and stupidity have taken over common sense in the court room. Lady Justice needs to take off her blindfold...

Ah, America....This is such complete bullshit. Even if he was selling it, 93 years is far too long. (Of course that's not a surprising statement coming from a crazy radical nonsensical anti-prohibitionist like me...) Anyway, this is enough to make me think about moving to Canada.
