Yeah, see, that's total bullshit. The supreme court case Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, 393 U.S. 503 (1969) stated that "Students do not shed their constitutional rights... at the schoolhouse gate." The only times that school officials may restrict their pupils' rights is if it is in the best interest of safety and the state of learning within the school.

Besides, the key here is that the school is delving into matters that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with academia. They have no right to do this shit.

Now they can track down the E-mail of the person (If it is an ALT e-mail, they can still track it down).

That would actually be illegal to do here in Canada, and every school administration knows that. There have been a couple landmark cases like this where public school administrators where totally pwnt.

BTW, if you go to a private school, all of this is actually quite legal. You're not likely to win a lawsuit in that event.

Well, I used an alt e-mail and several proxies, so I think I did a decent job of covering my tracks. Plus, all the admins can barely work a car radio, so they'll have lots of trouble pulling that off.

In any case, if worst comes to worst, I'll take it to court.
