US will win, but in the long run, Iraq may have more victories. Just b/c the war will be over doesn't mean there won't be more attacks. I'm sure they'll try doing something to us. Maybe not right away, but something will happen. I Just hope the gov't finds out about it before it's too late.

Iraqis won't do anything to us. They'll be too busy dancing in the streets of Baghdad, joyful that Saddam is gone.

People from other Arab nations will probably try something. But we can't let that deter us. Besides, I'm sure we'll be better prepared for anything that might come.

Of course it will be America that will rise triumphantly in confrontations of sheer force and technological superiority. Guerilla warfare is intense and unforgiving, also a facet of warfare that the standard grunt (non-elite) is somewhat unprepared to face. I could see casualties on the coalition side rise because of this (even moreso); though such "petty" losses do not weigh into the final outcome.

Victory carries its price; many coalition lives will be lost, and sadly, more attrocities will be commited by BOTH sides.

I concur. Who will win this war ? The weapons industry - finally they get to produce a new stock of bombs, bombers, and tanks. The oil industry - new trade agreements can be made after the removal of Saddam Hussein, new profitable agreements. The patriots - the pride of America was wounded on 9/11 - a successful war will reestablish the image of American invincibility.

Who will lose this war ? Every soldier who dies in Iraq. Every American citizen killed in the terror attacks this is bound to unleash. Every Iraqi civilian killed by the invasion forces. Every Iraqi civilian killed indirectly by lack of humanitarian aid. This is not a war without innocent casualties - Take a look at "www.iraqbodycount.net". This site lists the amount of Iraqi civilians killed directly by coalition forces. Note "Directly" - they were shot, bombed, shelled, or otherwise directly killed by coalition forces.

Of course. Actually, if American sources are correct and Iraq is such a heavily oppressed country, how many Iraqi soldiers die fighting for a cause they believe in ? Do they have any option ? If Saddam´s regime is such a frightening one, do they honestly believe they can get away with laying down their arms ?

Even the loss of Iraqi soldiers is tragic - like in WWII, young people are shipped off to die for a cause that is not theirs. They do not have a choice.

Hmm.. THe obvious answer is that the USA. What they are waitng for it the Temp to get really really hot and use poisonous gas. (the temps with gas suits will rise above 150) Literally cooking our troops alive. Plus, Iraq doesn't have to defeat te US. They win if Saddam(or sons) stays in power. Those odds are a lil' better. Besides i would like to bring up the republiucan gaurd. The media is making a much bigger deal about this. The rebulican gaurds may be well trained well paid, but they still CAN'T dodge a bullet. just another tactic of the media making this war more dramatic.
