Ok I ran across this site today and I have to say I was quite shocked. This company in downtown San Diego tattoos children 6 months and up. I really don't think this is right. Check out the site and let me know what you think. I especially like the picture of the 6 year old with the scorpion tattoo.

besides this being not a "political post"...I disagree with getting your kid a tat merely because the kid is not old enuf to make a sensible decision about (WHAT if at all) to be tattoed. Kinda silly to and rather unfair to inflict something on a kid that really has no true choice---particularly since it IS permanent.

baptism is only a ritual. anyone, if they choose to do so, can walk away from the catholic faith easily. you can't do that with a perminent tatoo.

i dont think so. a baby who is baptised is taken into a world of religion that he knows nothing about. baptisms should only be done when the child wants to and can tell the priest why.

Dude, not only is that fucked up, its just wrong. Tattooing is strictly something that should be decided later in life when the person can actually realize the "whole picture" behind tattooing. I mean, what would the child feel if he/she didn't like the tattoo as he/she grew older? And trust me, getting a tattoo removed hurts like balls and costs a ton.

Welcome to Baby Ink, where we believe that it's never to early to start expressing your unique personality through professional, high quality body art.
Of course, the YOUR unique personality would be the parents personality being drawn onto their child's body. Seems a little intrusionistic.
Baby Ink locations are non-threatening, family friendly places where people of all ages can feel calm and at ease.
Aren't tattoos sort of INCREDIBLY PAINFUL? (I really don't know.Someone tell me, please)
So whether you're 8 months or 88 years old...
On an 88 year old, wouldn't they have to strech the wrinkled skin back for a flat skin surface to draw on?
And if the person wanted it to be distinguishable, they'd need to pull the skin back, too.
Kind of defeats the purpose.
I think people should get whatever they want done to there bodies , afterall it is theres!

Not when they're 8 months old and have NO idea what's going on. Even if they're 6 or 7, they still can't make an informed decision on something that will affect them for the rest of their life. There used to be people called parents that raised children and made good decisions for them until they could make their own.

Tattooing a child is disgusting. As disgusting as circumcision. If you got a kid and you got so much money, put it in a freaking trust fund. Not all people should be allowed to breed.

Has anyone checked out the part of the site that says, 'HEY! This site is an April Fool's joke!'
It's illegal to tattoo a child that young, I believe.
So...that cracked me up!

Why should I post this in general, If I wanted the general public to respond to this I wpuld have posted it there. But since this topic (even though it was an April Fools Joke)brings up morals and law it constitues politics. Politics is not just forigen policy and Government.

Yea, i can were your coming from. It would be cruel for someone to give a child a tatoo. Couse, they are a pain to get off, and it'll leave them a scar. Though it would be funny to see a 6 year old child get a tatoo with barney on it to watch in horror when he get's older... He lez go to pakistan and try it! We can get em on with a star of david or a crucifix.

Want to hear something funny, I went to Israel a few years ago and my friend who is jewish as am I , got a tattoo of a "High" a hebrew letter on his shoulder. It stands for life and prosperity and good luck, but the thing is Tattoos are against jewish law. Kind of ironic.

Yea, I heard something like that about "the body temple". That is funny though.
