Is it possible to turn a video into a bunch of pictures so you can edit it and remove a background.

Would it not be the same just to draw over the background? Rather than delete it?

It would have the same effect, and wouldn't look any different if you did it another way. I say try for that.

Yes, just import it, I think it does it on its own and if it doesn't I'm sure there is a simple way

I think you'd have to get another program to convert the file into a GIF and a MP3 or WAV so you can do it, everytime I import a video it comes in like a symbol but there is no way to edit it.
The symbol for it is embedded video too.

If your computer came with even a basic video editor, you should be able to do snapshots of every frame. Failing that just open a full screen video player and do screen captures.

On a similar topic, once youve imported a video into flash, how do you handle it. I tried it once and couldnt seem to get audio to sync or draw on top of the video.

I'de rather not snapshot every framebecause my computer gets slow for some reason when i do that, but the reason i can't trace is because i want it to be not animated. Like if a person was talking (News does this). It's for a science project due at the end of the semester (January).I'm trying to get a head start with it.

The news uses green/blue screens, but im not sure of video editing software that would be able to change the view seen behind the subject. Maybe look into that rather than flash?

Fine. Does any one know the software that acts like a blue screen and deletes the background?
