I've been searching for this thread for days. Hahaha!
Glad to see it's still around!
Used to skate about 4 or 5 years ago, and I'm 21 now. But I broke my deck and being jobless I quit skating altogether. Spent the last 3 weeks searching for a free or cheap deck amongst my mates and finally got ahold of a Powell Golden Dragon board. It's nothing special but it's nice to be back on a deck again. Unfortunately the small town I live in in Ireland is pretty crap for skating unless I hitch a lift to Tullamore or Althlone I'm pretty much stuck for good spots.
Did tear up a few roofs, the back of a cathedral and a school yesterday though. Skated for a good 5 or 6 hours and had the time of my life!! They were doing construction round the back of the school and me and my mates build a makeshift funbox out of anything we could find. It was amazing. Although after not skating for so long my body got tired pretty quick. The lack of exercise and the fact I started smoking since caused all that.
Used to be able to tre, varial/kickflip, inward/heelflip and hardflip (along with the simple shit, like shove its and 180's and all that jazz); but after starting up again I can only just about kickflip and heelflip. Although all my ollies, kickflips and heelflips are sketchy as hell now. Need to get practicin every day again.
Hope this club gets more attention!
