Yes, the Democrats are obviously going to try and impose affirmative action. This makes employers obligated by law to hire black people over white people even if the white person is more qualified.

Personally, I don't think so. However, IMO, "underprivileged" students of any race that show promise should be given a helping hand. So if a poor White smart guy needs college money, he should get it over a rich Black, rich White, dumb Black, or dumb White. Same goes for any other race.

I agree with you there. However, who is going to encourage them? If non-Blacks encourage them, they don't want the advice, if Blacks encourage them, then they are considered race traitors.

History has shown that most Blacks do not wish to go forth on their own. Whether it is because of their own inabilty, desire not to, or White (non-Black) racism keeping them back. Not all Blacks are this way; my parents weren't, and I hope to succeed with my own wit as well (I don't turn down any scholarships or reasonable help from others though).

I concur to an extent. Bush does favor Whites, as do most non-Blacks. However, he does not impose laws to force people to favor Whites.

And for the record; companies are the ones who instate affirmative action regulations, not the government; mainly because the Supreme Court ruled that the government cannot force anyone to enact race-conscious decisions without strict scrutiny (Adarand Constructors, Inc. v. Pena).

I really would like to know where you get your flawed information; because during the entire protests, never once did I hear of an American flag being burned (why would they ask for citizenship and then piss the country off dipshit?). You fucking moron I've witnessed it! I have personal first hand experience of the behavior of illegal immigrants. In fact, in the first apartment I lived at when I moved out of my parents house, a woman 4 doors over was raped and murdered by illegal immigrants.

Actually, affirmative action is necessary to give people of color more opportunities to not only obtain jobs but to advance in those jobs. There are still plenty of instances of discrimination still evident in today's workplaces--an example being the recent lawsuit that a group of Hispanic FBI agents and former agents won because it was shown that, all things being equal between a white and a Hispanic person, the white person was still more likely to be promoted than the Hispanic person.

Affirmative action is needed because of the hidden tendancy of whites to still advance whites to the top, even if they don't quite realize it. I just finished reading a book entitled "Why do all the Black Kids sit Together in the Cafeteria" and it noted a study that was done. A white person and a black person would be compared for a job and, all things being equal (they were equally qualified), there was a greater tendancy to think of the white person as somehow smarter or more qualified, and so more often than not the white person would be chosen. There are more white males in higher up positions than there are women or people of color, and they tend to prefer those who look more like them to those who do not. It's a sort of a natural reaction, but one that cheats minorities.

Ok, first off, there are tons of scholarship opportunities for blacks that whites don't get. Did you know that the PSAT, which is very important for scholarships, has a scholarship program for everyone, and then a separate one for blacks? And you cannot blame the white man for ruining inner city schools, as they are fun and funded by the blacks, so if they want improvement it is on their own hands.

To solve the problem you have to start with education but to do this you have to allow for money in education to be worth something, and you have to encourage people to live there, rather then having to be there. To do this you have to lower crime, then you improove the community buildings schools. better schools attract wealthier families, and the government can make more money without having to raise taxes, thus, it can repeat the cycle.

It would be smart to elect somone the same race as the majority in a small community, this way they're less defensive about policies.

The sad reality is racial profiling does exist. It does seem unfair that minorities get so much help with affirmitive action but it also seems unfair that they miss out on opportunities without it simply because they were born in a country where they are a minority. Affirmitive action is an attempt to try and present a counterpoint to racial profiling. Obviously it's going to upset people, but then again, so does racial profiling. It's a stalemate in that sense and it will probably remain that way for a while longer.
