Should God really banish us to the eternal damnation(Hell) when we kill people? I don't think he should. In the story of Noahs Ark, God tells Noah he is worthy of living, while God goes and floods the world, killing an estimated 40 BILLION HUMAN BEINGS, yet God goes on saying,"thou shall not kill". Thats stupid considering the thought that not only does he kill Billions in his global flooding, but he continues to kill people even to this day.Is it fair for "the almighty lord" to send us to hell for killing 1 or 3 people, when he killed Trillions?

I agree, although, God is the only one has the power to be hypocrite, and get away with it.

You also have to remember that he is GOD. You're not God, you're just a human. And besides, you can still kill and get to heaven. Hitler could have gone to heaven if he repented and asked Jesus into his heart. God is also a merciful God remember, he's not all wrath.

Hmm... you are right, although we can do something about it. We're the ones that can vote these people in and we're the ones that can vote these people out!
So sometimes, not always, they don't get away woth it.

i think god can kill who ever he wants, besides its all a belief to those who belive.
besides he made us and surely the maker can kill us, unless we turn against him.
as quoted from a great non-existant man once said"the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making us not belive he existed" something like that.
boy i sure fuxed up that.
hey dsg, remeber me?

By the way, why are we worried about the actions of god? Chances are he isn’s real. He is a story book character. The book isn’t even that good, its too wordy and poorly thought out.

Learning the fine art of dry wit and sarcasm are we? It isn’t as effective in text you know. Instead of sounding smart you come off as a real cum stain.

Uh...see...missing an important point.
No unforgivable sin.
Ask for forgiveness, you shall receive it.
Therefore, you don't go to hell.
As for the 'why are you worried, God doesn't exist' argument, THAT IS YOUR OPINION. If someone else wants to question these things, it is not your right to tell them they shouldn't.

Yes indeedy. I left the Roman Catholic ways years ago and never looked back. I fell like a weight has been lifted from me. I no longer make decision and choices based on superstition. That’s just what worked for me though, I try not to tell people how to think. Any comments I make are my opinions not necessarily attacks.

40 billion my ass. We've got about 6 billion on the planet right now and it's more populated now than it ever has been.
God created us. He can do whatever he wants.

But I'm telling you God made those evil people to test us! He's just seeing how far we can be pushed before going insane...

God is the onlyone who can decide our destinies in a way God doesnt kill he just brings people to him or into the etearnal fire (God doesnt send people to hell for killing he sends them to hell for not listening to him and not repenting for their sins

The Bible is composed of a number of influences from other mythologies.
It's a stolen hodgepodge. Some of the stories are good, for entertainment value.
As a whole, I think if you live your life by a book that centuries old-- and try to apply the antiquated lessons to today without using your own ratioal logic and judgement, best of luck to you.
You try to make that myth your reason-- your justifcation for stoning whores, burning witches, and killing off and torturing innocent pagans, you're a fool and a murderer.
You follow a political group that expouses this philosophy for the sake of tradition or mindless obidence, you're a tool.
You try to impose your dogma on me, against my will, you're dead.

God doesn´t kill people,because:
God=love
killing innocents=hate
and hate is the contrary of love.
Plus:
God=good
killing innocents=evil
And good is the opposite of evil.

If you are christian, when you die, you go thru a process of purification, that's when God forgives your sins and you go to heaven, hell was made up by the church to scare people and force them to transform into christians. If you read the bible Jesus never mentions hell or the devil.

If you ask me, there is no heaven or hell. God isn't some big super-dude wearing white robes with gold tassels sitting on a throne on a cloud in the sky. It's silly. To me, God can be considered like a mathematical formula. The formula responsible for the laws of physics, gravity, the creation of stars and planets and whatnot. God creates and God destroys regardless of how good or bad of a person you are.
Oh, but assuming I actually believed in Christianity? Hmmm, it's wrong to send someone to hell for killing, if they did it to protect themselves or a loved one, but right if it was out of hatred or revenge. Isn't there this "repent and ye shall be forgiven" clause, though? What a cheap way out. Silly Christians!
