Hello,

The only programming knowledge I have is a few years experience in PHP. I'm very interested in Ruby on Rails, but I have no idea where (or how) to start. Does anyone have any recommendations for books (or online tutorials, etc.) to start learning Ruby on Rails?

Any RoR book you buy is probably already out of date. The Ruby language itself has been progressing as well.

I would suggest sticking to online resources. Check out this link, http://www.dzone.com/links/tag/ruby.html and consider adding their feed. Lots of informative stuff gets posted there. Right now there is kind of a Java vs Ruby war going on. It's like Digg, but for programming and design.
