I reckon it's wishful thinking to believe he'll actually be hung anyway. He'll "commit suicide" or die of "natural causes", this of course after the countless hold-ups and appeals that'll no doubt happen.

He accepted it, he even demanded to be killed by firing squad (since "He was a soldier", though his military carreer consists of leadin the unsuccesfull war on Iran, I mean come on, Iran had an army of peasants led by lapdogs without experience, with antique equipment, whilst Iraq had the world powers behind him, and cutting edge technology)

have his eyes poked out, put him in a circular room and tell him the food is in the corner and wait till he starves ( i like that one)
or just very mysteriously

As a former friend and colleague of Saddam Hussein, personally, I am very angry.
