Disney and Anime...TOGETHER!!!

I don't remember the full name of the movie...something with the name "Mizyainon" something, but from what I saw it is a Disney Animation with a Japanese director...so of course there will be some anime influence! Yes, this will indeed be a movie worthy to see in the box office. Not because of the story, but because of the artform!

Well if anyone has the name, let me know, it comes out this Friday. I'll also see Head of Stae with Chris Rock. I've heard it's mad funny, since Chris Rcok directed the movie after all!

Spirited Away, or something like that. I think it was originally released in japan, and now disney is bringing it to the states. So basically it's not really disney's.

But this could be the beginning of something. Just think, Disneyball Z, Gundam Disney. This could get pretty ugly.

They already made one didn't they. It had famous actors as the voices, I can't remember what it was called though... *Thinks real hard* Princess Mononoke that's it, they've already made an anime.

you are right other then it was optioned by miramax disney may be the parent company but miramax is its own seperate entity...and no disney did not make PM it was made by studio ghibli and dentsu

Disney bought the rights, they allowed their company miramax to help in the release of an american version. Disney does this alot, especially with adult movies... Miramax has made alot of R rated movies, and disney doesn't really like putting the name "Disney" on a R rated movie. Princess Mononoke isn't a very kid friendly movie, and if a parent sees it's animated and from disney, they will buy it for their kids. Its like fox buying all of dragonball, and are now in the process of making a live action movie though it will be released primarily with fox not a joint company.
