So, anyone here think it goes beyond a joke?
I'm going to see it on monday :p, but the fact khazakstan is like declaring war on the comedian really tickles me. In fact, who do you think would win in a war between borat and khazakstan?

Yes we have. They're not immigrants robbing us of our culture, they're Borat advertising a comedy movie.

Well, Kazakhstan does have Baikonur Cosmodrome rockets launch capability.. vs Borat with only eager pocket-rocket, but both are urine powered, so...

Well hell maybe that dude who plays him has enough cash to buy off a mercenary army to invade zazakhstan from russia with remote controled boats filled with explosives launched into the caspian sea.......

I love how Kazakhstan thought they were a respected nation beforehand anyway. You know you're not respected when you can't be found on a map, and when the majority of people pretty much everywhere haven't heard of you.

Holy shit i just americans did'nt know about the country due to our stereotypical lack of understanding of geography.
with me as the ultimate exeption knowing that the former soviet republic of kazakhstan is the upcoming regional power and largest country in central asia bordering the caspian sea, uzbekistan, turkmenistan, russia, kyrgistan, and china.

Borat doesn't "portray" Kazahkstan. The movie isn't about Kazahkstan. It's about Sacha Cohen messing with unwitting americans under the guise of a strange foreigner. The nationality of Kazahkstan is onlu used because thats a country that most americans know very little about, thus giving Cohen an excuse to act crazy.

If you get out the recent issue of Newsweek, the one with Barrack Obama on the cover, you'll see that Cohen might have succeeded in proving the point too.. perhaps a bit too far though, as the person claimed he booked Cohen as a guest and then was made a fool of and fired.
