Clayton Craine's art really took me by surprise in Ghost Rider, guy just seemed to come out of nowhere. But sadly, I think I usually wind up paying more attention to who's writing the book vs. who's drawing it.
I probably never woulda asked this question... But for a while i wouldnt get any comics unless they were drawn a certain way and i learned the artist was Ed McGuinness... I wanted to post in here and thats all i got...

I hear what you're saying, any preference towards writers? I know some people really are starting to get down on him, but Geoff Johns is still probably the best super hero comics writer out there write now, he's really done a great job of fixing the mistakes DC made with the JSA, but still not really contradicting the events of the stories previously.

No, i dont really have a preferance... I really like the team of Jeph Loeb, Ed McGuinness and Dexter Vines (the people who do the comics where Batman and Superman are a team)... I also like Mark Waid as a writer...
On another note, Soo yeah... I was up till about three doing work (regular work, 2 papers, and studying for a quiz) and talking with some people... So i went to sleep feeling really tired but happy... So i wake up at 5:30 to finish my work and i felt sorta crappy (probably cause i'm tired) so i unplugged my alarm clock and went back to sleep... Its now almost 3:30 in the afternoon (i've been up for about 2-3 hour) and well i'm scared to go upstairs cause i dunno if my parents know i skipped school or not... So i've been stuck in the basement for a hours and i've been watching The Movie Batman (with Adam West and Burt Ward) and reading comics all afternoon...

Our security guy at work played it and told me it was really good stuff. Sorry I'm having such big problems keeping up with this guys, it's just that with work, and the mod gig, the site and the column, and my personal life the way it is, it's been difficult to keep this going, thank you to everyone who is trying, and please don't give up on this topic, just because we have a site dosen't mean I don't still value our NG prescence.
I finished my Golden Age JSA collection the other day! I'm looking forward to enjoying the next couple trades. I also really am jacked for Infinite Crisis after finishing OMAC and the current issue of JLA, it's also nice to see the JSA positioned as the #1 DCU team going in.

Yeah, the countdown is over, Infinite Crisis hits next wednesday, anything coming out now is just making sure that all the pieces fall where they need to be. Although I find some of this annoying in that this current months JSA issue is apparently some scant time BEFORE Day of Vengeance #6, I can understand they had a desire to conceal the events of Day of Vengeance's climax, but it just pisses me off a bit when we have this "here's what you DIDN'T see in the main book last month", I realize it sets up a fight for the JSA (or at least for half the team, since the other half is dealing with the current crisis in the fifth dimension), but it still just annoys me when books from a month before actually wind up being newer timeline wise then stuff coming out this month, it makes it so that you almost need to stick post it notes to the computer or something to keep track of it all. I'll be glad when this thing has calmed down.

There's a couple of good post-mortems on the first two "Countdown" minis to wrap at Newsarama. I'm still not sure when and if Villians United and Rann/Thanagar wrapped, I remember Rann/Thanagar was cutting it close, ditto VU. Any information any of you could provide me would be appreciated, I'll be trying to cover Infinite Crisis in the way I attempted to (and ultimately failed) to cover the Countdown minis I was getting.

So my school is rebuilding a lot of the buildings on campus and there are a lot of workers who are working there... Today on my way to lunch a creepy worker came up to me and asked me if i liked comics, i stupidly said yes and he pulled me aside and showed me a bunch of Dr. Strange and the Flash... I sorta just stood there till he left...
Hrm... So anyway, BATMAN COMES OUT TUESDAY AND I PREORDERED A COPY!!!

That is kind of creepy, but you know? He probably dosen't have many people to talk to about it...that's sort of why I started this in the first place, I wanted more kindred spirits to talk to about what was going down in the comics, because so few of my other friends really give a damn about any of it.

Yeah, gotta pick that up. Have the Infinite Crisis break down up on the site, first issue ended with a hell of a bang.

I'm very curious as to how that book is going to work with the Crisis going on. I mean, Batman totally reemed Superman out Infinite Crisis #1. The Trinity is definitely split, the Justice League is in ashes...but there's still a light of hope, because MY Superman has returned to show the hero's the way. I also picked up Identity Crisis the other day, once I'm done with my stack of Hellsing, I'll jump right on it.

Seems we had a spammer attack earlier, but the problem has been solved.
Now, who would like to hear my theory on who the "new" Spectre is going to be?

They introduced a police officer in Gotham Central with the name of Jim Corrigan, just like the Original Spectre. There's a mass of chaos in Gotham now Spectre created, there's been some question as to whether he's on the level. I predict that come the Day of Judgement special, Corrigan will be killed, and will either realize he's the original Jim Corrigan reincarnated to take the job (since it's been revealed Hal Jordan messed it up fairly good) or he already knows that. So DC will have found a way to retcon the whole Spectre business back to it being Jim Corrigan.

I bought Sin City: To Hell and Back today.
Just that I bought it with a bookstore credit card I'm supposed to use to buy schoolbooks with.
Oh wells, It's swell, really dug the closeups on the animals and the hallucination scene.

If you're asking who was behind everything...yeah, that much I know, but I didn't actually read the book.
Welcome to the new folks, hopefully you hang around with us here, always been a problem with this topic, and check out our website too, I posted up the press release confirming Stephen King is working at Marvel, and it'll be a prequel to his Dark Tower books! Very exciting news, and I predict some absolute record sales on this book.

No, I just thought if it ended like I thought it did, we could use it as a way to revive X-statix...

Oh, you mean the cartoon? I thought you meant that awful attempt at a live action series.
