..you mean "V-DAY"

well, that's really hard to say - Saddams death will not stop the war, and white flags will not stop the war, and oil exports will not signal the end of the war, and humanitarian aid will not mark the end of hostilities, so i guess you mean "What day will all US troops leave the middle-east" .. am i right?? ;O)_*

Hell, I'd take you up on that bet! I'd say about 30 more days of fighting, 8 months of peacekeeping and nation building

The public "we are good, look at us" war will go on for about a month. Possibly 2.
US troops will remain in Iraq for nearly a year, and US puppetry will continue indefinitely.

ya, i think that the official war won't last too much longer...maybe 6 months.....but it will take years to rebuild iraq.

since Bush considers this the war on terror, even though the complete lack of any proof of terrorists existing in there, i'm assuming the "war" will never end.

As for Iraq, the soldiers will most likely stay there for at least a decade, and the fighting of Saddams regeime will end by late April-May

I'll go in the middle and say 5 months. Yeah, up from my 6 day bet from a week earlier.

The war hasn't started. A "war" is when two armies are fighting.

i bet that Bush does something stupid that will get our
troops killed. according to a friend of mine this will be over in three weeks if our troops merely bomb the place and pull the footsoldiers.
they know their turf and we don't. they use sneak tactics we don't.

The invasion will be over before Easter, and the occupation will probably be quicker than assumed, I'd say six months.

I can't say for sure when it will end. I'll just hope that the conflicts will end as soon as possible.

Also I'm not calling it a war because Congress did not vote on starting a war with Iraq. This is Bush using his powers as commander-in-chief and those given to the president to start a military campaign in Iraq.

They voted a while back giving Bush the power to use force against Iraq.

I think It'll be over in 2 weeks and occupation will end in 5 months. Longer if they have trouble getting water to the people.

I would have to say late Summer at the latest. Of course, we'll be staying in Iraq longer than that. That's my prediction. The reason I think it will be so long is because of the ever-present fear of urban warfare.

But I'm sure in 50 years we would have already found an energy substitute.
