1. The abandoned apache fighter is demonstrative of the lack of training the pilots have for war-time situations(note because it was not destroyed the Iraqis and Russia have the technology to copy)

2. The People's Revolt in Bosra is a sign that the people of Iraq are willing to accept change in leadership.

3. Turkey's encroachment on the Kurds -- being an older and more personal issue than the current US vs Iraq issue -- is the main reason why they did not allow the US to use its military fields.

Sell, Turkey's leaders wouldve been in big trouble if they voted for it because alot of turks would have died and that isnt going to get the votes

Sell, apaches are helicopters, or gunships not fighters, and what could the Iraqi's do with it anyway? all of their technology is outdated. And incidentally, I dont think you should worry about Russia, in case some of you dont know, the cold war is over and communism is gone.

Sell, Not all Iraqi's hate him, given alot do, but the riots in Basra are because they have no water, not because they hate saddam, it is necessity.

Sell, The turks held off on the deal with the US because they knew when the US won the war and had an interrim government set up, it is unlikely they would let the turks get away with wholesale slaughter of the Iraqi Kurds

sell, you cant train for EVERY situation... accidents happen, sadly.

2. The People's Revolt in Bosra is a sign that the people of Iraq are willing to accept change in leadership.

sell, Iraq has tricked us a few times already... wouldnt be surprised if they are waiting to throw some chem weapons in the troops face.

3. Turkey's encroachment on the Kurds -- being an older and more personal issue than the current US vs Iraq issue -- is the main reason why they did not allow the US to use its military fields.

sell, i think the 94% against the war in turkey helped... but this is probably one of them

What about china, chuba, and north korea.

kind of funny that the Iraq government says they can do fine without american aide then the people in basra riot because they dotn have water.

Which makes you think about what were going to do with all those turks coming across the border of iraq.

Actually, it was destroyed, but it is more of the result of incompetant soldiers. You don't fly into the gunfire...common sense.

Well, yes and no. The shiites in the south hate saddam, but they also hate the west, because the west "abandoned" them after the gulf war. They revolted and were killed, because the UN would not allow coalition forces to pursue the Iraqis after they fled Kuwait. I would not trust any civilian displays in the south.

Turkey wants to attack the Kurds, that's fine with me. The problem is them playing it off like they want to help the USA, after they clearly said they did not.
