Ok People just have one question really!
When mixing in Fruity Loops, do I guage the levels with the monitor box at the top (marked red in attached pic) or do I use the levels to the left of the mixer (marked green)
Thanks!
Peace Out!

I'm not even sure what the red monitor thing is even there for... but for checking the overall volume of your track use the green.

Thanks Kirizzle
cos what it is right! I've got a new track, i've mastered it, and well i stupidly used the monitor at the top
Everything sounds fine, except it's too damn quiet!
Cool I'll sort that out!
Thanks again!

Yea, no problem. That big volume meter in the middle of the FX Mixer is nothing more than a magnified verison of the master channel's volume meter so I take it out since it's kinda useless, you can always just check the master channel's volume meter.

So Bounc3 do you mean that the volume has to remain at a constant level throughout then?
or how do you mean?

When he says "fixed" I think he means "not broken" instead of "constant." Also, if your song stays at a fixed volume all the time then you have no volume dynamics, which can kinda make your track sound plain. ALTHOUGH, if you wanna go for the constant volume thing then I have one word for you: compressor.
or how do you mean?
The last word in his post was "beer." Who knows how sober he is right now?

Valid points Kirizzle
Yeah volume dynamics, I'm not overly familiar with that term, but I know exactly what you mean, I think this tune does have a fair bit of dynamics on it in terms of volume
well I've uploaded the tune now! I'd love an opinion on it though, used compressor on bass and drums, maybe on guitar too I can't remember, and reverb of course too on percussion etc... another opinion on this would be greatly appreciated
Thanks again man!
