Just a simple yet difficult question...
What does make a song good???(on NG)
Surely the answer is hidden somewhere right? What is it? I've posted some songs and apparently I havn't improved at all. So I ask you, WHATS THE ANSWER!?!?!

Hey TorkKey!
Well man you're right it's a difficuly question, I'm probably not the best person on here to answer it though I may not be the worst either, I shall at least have a try!
Well I've had a listen to some of your tracks! Electric wheel chair seems to be one of your better tracks for sure! you've got on a better formula
Now a good melody is always a plus, if you can make them catchy then that's even better! catchyness (if such a word exists) shouldn't always be a factor, so that isn't like a complete rule of thumb but is helpful!
I would recommend spending more time on your tracks, give yourself more time to try and fail at attempts to hit on something you're really happy with. I too fall into this trap sometimes though I'm beginning to see the error in my ways, and spend more time to produce my tracks. My Rock tracks though I spend far longer on to produce than any other
Try and make your tracks less repetitious, Repetetion is something you should try and avoid, not completely, but any particular part to a track shouldn't play for too long without a change of some kind kicking in, just to keep the track interesting. you have to use your music as an opportunity to try and encapsulate the listener, if it's too repetetive you risk them not hearing it through to the end. Though this isn't to say you can't come back to something you've done already!
Structure! Have a structure in mind, just as a basic example (this one isn't gospel lol) Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, outro
or something to indicate a kind of structure that's taking place perhaps in your music
Now like i've already said I may not be the best person to give advice here on the matter, I may not even be the worst, But I at least hope to kick start your thread, maybe others can come and correct what I have said here! maybe others can even add to, or confirm parts that have been suggested
I would suggest however taking a little time out and have a listen to what's on the AP to give you some kind of idea for what to listen for, try and make notes (in your mind) about what you like about what you're listening to!
Hope this in someway helps, and I hope others can add to this and help you out even moreso
Peace Out!

Theres no special answer since it has to do with SELF improvement, which only you can do on your own.
Standing out, is always good
Having you own specific sound.
and so on...
If not you could always touch yourself at night :D.
And a GOOD track on NG is GOOD anywhere, it's not like NG has specific standards from the outer world.

I had no idea that it would be that hard to answer.
Thx for checking out my stuff man, i appreciate that alot.
What you said did help alot.
Theres only one problem though... I'm running the demo version of FL studio... (which sucks) so it prevents me from saving anything. I would like to get the Producers edition fo FL, but its $150 (as you may know). If you read this again(of if anyone reads this), what should I do about that issue of mine? Should I wait untill I get the full version to post anymore? or should I just save up and practice with the demo version???

It won't hurt to keep practising!
So keep practising! certainly don't give up, keep on at it, you will get there eventually I swear it!
Save up for the software you won't be disappointed, so in the meantime practise and save up
Laters man!

TorkKey- you can still EXPORT a file from a demo version of FL6, which is like saving, but you can't work on the song again.

Easy easy 1 try many different styles of making music from quit to load senarios to hardcore metal....
Or just make something based on something else add a twist or two then finally have a woman doing something nasty on top of it (no pee or rectal movements mind) and voula you should have a decent track works for me they good not great but good
