I came up with a theory today... you may enjoy this one. Studying history can show one how an enemy may possibly fight no matter what country they come from. My theory is this... if you've studied the Nepolianic wars (or the book "war and peace") you will see that when emporer Nepolian had finally made his way to Moscow, Russia that when he actually hit the city it was completely empty of people. What if... that actually happens with this war? When we get there are the Iraqi's going to be gone? or (as I also predict) will there be a chemical biological war that will ensue? I put it up to you.

interesting prediction, that would be crazy, but understandable if the used dropped some MOABs on Baghdad just before it entered

I think that would be the best joke in 180 years.
The US spends 1.2 trillion dollars on a war, only to have all the citizens of their objective gone.

maybe the US will get to Baghdad and stall outside the city, then as the summer dessert conditions intensify, they will find their water supply is cut off?
..haha, i guess it's not so likely ;)

The funny thing is, if he abandons the city, we win.

..that's what cracks me up laughing so much - the Military Commanders on the Coalition side say "see, Saddam hides his army in the cities - that evil man!"
errr, sure! ..why doesn't he just line them up in the dessert and make it easy?!

Wasn't the official figure set at about 80 billion?

It is a nice theory, but it has a few flaws. The main one being, if you look closely at the news, there are still citizens running around in Baghdad. Another being, we have spy satellites that can read the year of a dime on the top of the Washington Monument, I’m pretty sure they would have picked up a mass exoduses of Arabs from the city. As it is, they where worried that Saddam would not let them leave the city and us them as human shields, so I’m pretty sure the US military is keeping close tabs in the civilians whereabouts. It is a very interesting thought, I have to say, just not realistic with the technology we have today.
I also have no doubt their will be a chemo-biological factor in the war.

How has no-one else picked up on this? Defending? How is a war on Iraq ANYTHING to do with defence?

you're right on the idea that these aren't the same as the napoleanic wars. but only cause those were for conquest while these are to boost bush's popularity and get him re-elected

Ya where did that idea of its defense through offense. Iraq has neevr attacked the US. And the missles Iraq owns Im sure wouldnt reach the US so whats the defense part? Its just offense for the sake of oil.
