I have read every page on the history of Newgrounds, and Tom.

I have gained a better understanding of this site.

I have some suggestions from a graphic design point of view.

1.) the NG Mag logo needs some updating.

2.)I prefer the NG mag layout to the current NG layout, I think combining the function of the current NG layout with the look of the current NG Mag layout could turn out to be very appealing.

Anyway thats just an idea, I also took into account that you might want the NG Mag to have a different Layout than NG itself, to establish the seperation between the two site, This is effective, but confusing, I suggest designing an alternate logo, that still uses the popular NG tank that way it is still different and easily recognizable while flowing with the rest of NG.

Ps.:I read something about interns, were can I find more information on that?

Are you completely oblivious to the fact that the main part of the website is going to have a graphical over-haul by the end of this year?

Actually yes I was but thanks to you I no longer am.

I am still in the proccess of doing as much research as I can about Newgrounds.com, I have been a member for about a year I think or more. But I never really understood it until now.

I am making an extreme effort to learn all I can about newgrounds and then I will move on to the artists.

As far as my suggestions go, if NG is expecting a huge graphical change then my suggestions can be taken as ideas to think about while the change is taking place. I am not demanding, but rather suggesting. I am in no way an expert on NEwgrounds its past present or future, just a guy who wants to be part of Newgrounds in a big way. more than portal entries can do.

So I will go back to my research, and Goodluck to the NG crew who are working on the NG history sections in the NG mag, I am looking farward to reading it when it is completed.

I believe that NG Mag altogether hasn't been updated since it's creation; with the exception of maybe 1 or so articles being written in the past 8 month, and the NG Alphas section.

Understandable, but suggestions can't hurt.
However, I have not been very dissapointed by the NG GUI so far so I am excited to see whats next.
Despite my respect and trust for the NG designer, I shall continue to make suggestions based on observations, which in no way is meant to put down or disrespect anyone.
I only aim to improve. =)

I see, the NG mag doesn't seem to be getting much work done you are very right.
I wonder if they could use an intern to help out with that project, Or they could be possibly plannign something big for the future, I dont know, but I can't wait to find out.

There's a big revamping of NG Mag in the works. It'll be cool... :)

That reminds me, I had some suggestions about their search engine.

I believe it would be more "user friendly" to have one search engine that can be customized to search everything on newgrounds rather than seperate search engines that can only search specific areas.
A newgrounds search engine would also be a popular extension to Firefox, or even a flash version to put on websites as a way of advertising.

I like the NG Mag layout too, but I don't think it's main site worthy.

In other news:

I can't wait for the site overhaul.

Also an easy way to edit previous posts would be nice too, but as I was saying.

Having a flash or Java or whatever NG search bar that searched every part of newgrounds would be great, aswell as having a version that can be placedo n websites and profiles, (I would definatly advertise for Newgrounds for free) would draw more people into newgrounds increasing the clicks on adds, there fore increasing profit and lowering the amount and kinds of adds neccesary.

Not that this is the solution to the add problem, but its one small step in the bigger solution.

Thats going to be really useful, but if everything in newgrounds was put under one search engine wouldn't there be tons and tons of stuff like topics and flashes that you have to surf through to find what your looking for? Meh you guys must have all the bugs of worked out I'll just stop talking.

instead of waisting your time insulting me, help me learn about Newgrounds, tell me the things I don't know, what is the problem with doing research? I am an aspiring graphic designer, and I am inspired by Newgrounds and I will not stop doing research, and I will learn everything there is to know about NEwgrounds. because I feel I need to.

Also I understand the people working on Newgrounds are proffessionals, I have alot of respect for them.

I spend alot of time around graphic designers, they take imput whenever they can get it, they are adaptive, so suggestions don't hurt, and are not rude, they are only suggestions,
now can we be done with the imature insults and get back to discussing further improvements on Newgrounds. Please and thank you

Well thats the point of advancing the search engine, it allows you to pick a topic to search rather than having to go to the home page of that section to search its contents you can do it form one engine.
It would seperate forum/mag/adio/games/movies using a nicely designed GUI. which I trust the NG crew can come up with something fantastic.

The best 'aspiring graphic designers' spend more time making silent observations and advancing themselves on a personal level, rather than making suggestions on how other people should progress.

As of now, you simply seem to be yet another dime-a-dozen 'aspiring graphic artist' that lurks around here with absolutely nothing to show for their talk. These sorts of people piss me off, as it seems like they're only in the business because they caught word that graphic design is an easy ticket and there's hand fulls of big companies who pay top dollar for sub-par work that's easy to hammer out.

Feel free to come back and hand me advice once you've spent nearly 10 years fine-tuning your abilities and trying your hardest to make a name for yourself. However, since it's most likely a guarantee you'll give it up and join the military, I'll take your remarks as personally demeaning and tell you to go fuck yourself now.

Go fuck yourself.

Go fuck yourself.

You describe me as exactly the people I can't stand.
Just because I have never submited anything to the puplic does not mean I sit here on Newgrounds, jerking off and disrespecting others work, I have learned alot from Newgrounds, I have been an aspiring artist all my life, I have always wanted to be one, I ofund my niche in graphic design, then I found NEwgrounds and a whole new world opened for me, Se my parents always told me that art never got you anywhere but Newgrounds proved otherwise, they told me that I could be an artist, and I could make a living, Being an artist for a living would allow my art to become greater. I have worked hard as hell to prove myself to the people around me, I worked my ass of to become Yearbook designer for my school. You are aparently not as respectable as I first thaught you.
Another thing, the graphic designers I am around take inspiration and suggestion from any source, because they know that no matter how good they are there is always room for improvement. And in no way in my previous post did I aim to offend or say that I was better than anyone, I am learning, I am not a graphic designer yet, but I would like to be one, not for the money but because it is what I love to do, I wouldn't care if i made minimum wage as long as I could do graphic design for a living. You are in no position to judge me just because you are leading a good life and happen to be lucky enough to make a good sum of money. You need to grow up and not be so full of yourself.

You take my suggestions to be insults, but they are not, I am in no way that the NG crew can't do their jobs, or that they don't know what they are doing, but the opposite.

I am saying that I respect you as artists and that I do like your work, and to tell a person to go fuck themselves because they offer there imput on what would be nice to see, or what they would like in improvements is just and rude thing to do.

I am done ranting about you. I am going back to my research on Newgrounds,
now does anyone else have any suggestions they would like to get out there?

Don't let mister grumpy scare you.

there is nothing wrong with posting suggestions of what you think could make this community/website better. please I would like to read what you all have to say about the current layout, past layouts and suggestions for future layouts. =)

There is a reason posts cannot be edited. People will abuse it meaning that there will be a massive influx of spam topics into newgrounds.

Topics would start as "who here likes (insert likable thing here)"

and edited to "LOL HU LOVES PENOR!!!11!!11 ROFFLE"

And anyway it only takes a few seconds to proof read a post.

I believe the search bar is limited at the minute due to the strain it would cause on the server, but is something that will be looked into.

Not that this is the solution to the add problem, but its one small step in the bigger solution.

You need to learn about NG before making "suggestions"

Go there, click interviews, and read mine. The interview directly under Eric Jordan, James Begera, and the other masters of graphic and web design that I was honored to be listed with.

Humility and respect comes with knowledge and experience.

In this business you must choose your words with tact and effectivness.
as it stands your research is "incomplete" as you do not know what has been completed for the launch.
Your suggestions come off as professional critiques, which you are not in a position to make.
in this field, you need to have experience, and proof of execution to be able to critiques ones work., as it stands you have neither.
I would really like to see you attempt this same brash approach at a Dojo. Please let know how it turns out when you walk into one and attempt to critique the Blackbelts on their stances, with your extensive knowlegde from you Jackie Chan Video collection.

If you seriously thought you had a chance of intership with that attitude..

all I can say is...

"I love big tits and cannot play any instruments"
