In order to have no war, no poverty and no God, you would have to have no necessity. The former arises out of necessity and to eliminate necessity is impossible because it is that same necessity which allows us to conduct infinite exploration. Thus your philosophy is a paradox.

You're a drunk. You seem to think that humans require more than a finite amount of resources to not be in "poverty"

In reality, your philosophy is a paradox, because it claims that war is required to fulfill needs, but this would imply that it is impossible to fulfill said needs, which means humans couldn't possibly exist.

No i'm saying that a seemingly perfect world would have no war and no god. The one race thing is a stretch, but if it happened naturally i.e. without selective breeding, than there would be no more racism. If we stopped funding useless wars, which all wars are useless by the way, we could focus that money on the poor. Since we spend trillions of dollars on military related things, we definalty could feed and cloth the poor.

Finally as one united earth with no borders we could travel the universe and research science infinatley as one human race.

Have you been listening to Bill Hicks?

The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey – don't worry, don't be afraid ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up. We have a lot invested in this ride. Shut him up. Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account and my family. This just has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because – it's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

The problem here is even if there were only one race people would still find other ways to be prejudiced. Afterall, bigotry isn't the product of irrational hate: it's a community's way of making themselves feel superior to others. Naturally.......one race is not attainable because there's too much mixing of ethnicities.

Wars are not useless, wars are human nature and in some cases necessary and a critical step for humanity. Remember, conflict brings progress (damn that was corny).

Lastly: there'll always be the poor. No matter what form of government or economical structure you're going to have a lowerclass. It's no ones responsibility to raise them except themselves.

Finally as one united earth with no borders we could travel the universe and research science infinatley as one human race.

Harumph!
Sounds nice, probably wouldn't work. Just becuase we, us, or most become enlightened to the glories of love and peace, doesn't me the nut jobs out there will. Besides, if we were to do that we would undermine the independence of soveriegn nations as recognized by the rest of the world. Just like we can't regulate Brazil and its trees, we can only do so much for Kenya and its people.

I have worshipped soda machines, flying dishes of pasta, and drugs...I am a firm believer in personal belief, but your Hicks-god is wrong.

Sie sind verrückt! I don't know where you got off on this, but your ideology does not make any sense! think about it! if you take out what you have mentioned, there will be no incentive - no reason to work, earn a living, or even carry on living. everyone will become a lazy couch potato and then what do you have? Eine verrückte Welt!

If there would be no war, poverty, or *cough* god, why would we have the need to explore?

Wouldn't you just prefer a society with many races, no war or poverty, and whatever god you choose?

I would.

I don't think belief in a god or gods causes war, nor does poverty. These are not the causes of conflict, but the reasons - slightly different. There are two general reasons to go to war: resources and beliefs. There are of course others which don't fit into those categories.

As an undergraduate, I took an anthropology course called Warfare, Violence, and Sacrifice in Antiquity. What I took from it in the end is the idea that human beings are in many ways inherently violent, and will create things to fight over when none are readily apparent.

Religion is not inherently bad, or even mostly bad. People will fight over it, sure, but we fight over everything - land, food, sex, whatever. Belief in something is an overall positive trait. It keeps people going when they would otherwise give up, and it unifies people in more ways than it divides them. I think it's fallacious and disrespectful for anyone to assume that abolishing religion in this world would lead to some kind of utopia.

You know, it's funny, because South Park actually nailed it on the head this week when they covered what might happen if religion was disproven. It would end up with atheists vs. atheists, and that's really what it boils down to, people versus people. We're naturally angry animals, and I guess there's just not much we can do to fix that. No God may happen in the future, but world peace won't. Hell, even if world peace doesn't occur, intergalactic won't. There's always gonna be problems between humans and humans, or maybe somewhere in the future, humans versus aliens.
