Newb WoW question

I'm thinking about getting WoW and I was wondering if anyone knew if you could just buy the new expansion when it comes out and get the game off of that. or do you have to get the game and the expansion. Does anyone know?

wow is gay and no you have to get the full game first. an expansion pack just adds to the basic game. also you have to pay monthly for the game so dont get it. its a waste and its nerdy

You have to buy the game. an expansion, is an EXPANSION of the game.

yes, it's an expansion, but you don't need the original WoW, you can just buy the expansion and make the account with that

If you get WoW you need to get the original and the expansion to play ypou dont need to buy the expansion it's just better if you do. Also if you get the game play on the realm Eonar it's the best realm.
